Authentic Foods Superfine Brown Rice Flour - 3lb

Used this in gluten free baking mix and it has finally fixed my problem with GF flour. The grittiness is mostly resolved to the point of relief. Packaging says all the right stuff. Rice is from California where they have rules about stuff so the cadmium and lead and arsenic levels are much lower than other locations.

It’s expensive, like, very expensive, but it works great in my gluten-free baking. It’s very finely ground, and less gritty than other rice flours.

Gluten free flours come from several companies. This superfine rice Authentic Foods flour bakes perfect muffins, cakes, and brownies. Use by weight, not by volume. 1 cup is approximately 5 oz.

Perfect for my gluten-free bread recipe. It is super fine, and that is what I needed. Good quality, good packaging. Great taste.

I love this flour for cooking and baking. I use it for making sauces as well in baking such as wheat free sourdough.

Great finely milled brown rice flour. Makes excellent gf sour dough that is light and soft. I definitely recommend as I have to have nut free also. Please bring this back in stock

This is some very very nice, superfine brown rice flour. I do tons of gluten-free baking and have been looking for a brown rice flour that is as fine (or nearly as fine) as the white rice flour I get from the Asian grocery store (that stuff is so fine it feels almost like cornstarch), because the kind I currently have is far too coarse and gives things slightly gritty texture (I'm not sure the brand, because I bought it a long time ago, but I think it might have been Bob's Red Mill). For me, that's unacceptable, so I've avoided using brown rice flour until I could find a superfine version. Though I would never use brown rice flour exclusively in my baking, it's an essential part of the flour mix for certain types of baked goods, especially brownies, certain cookies, and some heartier quick breads and bars. This brown rice flour is perfect, exactly what I've been looking for, and I've already put it to plenty of good use, with great success in making things loved by gluten eaters and gluten-free folks alike. The one downside: It's on the pricey side. I'm planning to try out Anthony's Fine Brown Rice Flour soon, since you can get 5 pounds of it for $12.99 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PG8RT6O/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3F2AX8CF3HF8O&coliid=IT5LGSLWDFQLZ&psc=1). When I do, I'll compare them and update this review. I'm really hoping Anthony's will come through, since it's so much more affordable.

Most of the better glutrn free recipes I have used call for brown rice flour and this one is the best one I've found. Definately worth it if your recipe calls for those type.
