Wow. I didn't really think that this cable would provide much of an upgade, but it's almost like listening to new headphones! I love my HD25's and I have put them to some serious use. The previous wire cable was going out, so I stumbled upon these on Amazon. They cost the same as the replacement wire from Sennheiser, but sound much better. Everything seems more crisp and the positioning of instruments in the mix is so much more clear. I'm hearing subtle nuances in songs that I haven't heard before! There's nothing better than discovering subtle nuances in music and these really deliver. Bass is lower and packs more punch and the highs are crisp and clear. How do you make an amazing product even better? Upgrade to this cable. Enjoy.

The Left ear on the one I received had no sound, but I'm sure if I would have ordered a replacement that wouldn't have been a problem. I didn't go for the replacement and here is why. The gage was much smaller then I thought it would be, though I did not expect the wire to be the same size as the original wires that came with my HD650's but I was hoping it would be closer. Also besides the red and black coloring, the wires didn't show which was plus and munis making it just a little difficult when connecting them.I few months before I ordered some cables for my HD650's on eBAY which had a MIC, and allowed these cans to be used on my PS4 for online gaming, and with my mobile phone for making phone calls. These Chinese wires while cheap work perfectly. At the time I wished amazon sold something like this so I didn't have to wait weeks for shipping. I think those cables cost me 15-20 bucks, while these were closer to 55-60 and did not work.

It's not working with my HD650. I think there is problem with connector.

Bought two of these. Seem like well-constructed cables but one failed within 2 months. Tried re-inserting, tried swapping with the one that still works. Conclusion: One channel is bad.***Updated*** Vendor provided a replacement at no charge. Works well now. Increasing my rating to four stars.

Used to replace standard steel cable supplied with the HD25, and am satisfied. It has the unequal length needed to fit properly into the single entry dual socket entry for these phones and is also narrow enough to fit into the central channel in the headband like the original does. Length is also good for using with portable mp3 players. Sound seems good, have not done a detailed A/B comparison to confirm a significant upgrade to the original cable, but certainly seems good. Update about a week after receipt...sound quality seems good...still feel that. The cable is a litte microphonic (can hear it rubbing against clothes etc)...does not really affect my usage since I am generally stationary when using it.

While this is marketed as a high-end cable, it shorted out after only a few months. Already having to buy a replacement.I can't find any reason to recommend these unless you just want a more unique look to your cable, there is no difference in sound quality outside of a placebo effect.

Took a flyer and bought these for my 650's, a winner. They came out of the package and are still on my head since, just using an iPhone and anOppo HA-2 headphone amplifier they are just great, not fatiguing, light and airy when they need to be, separation and soundstage is terrific. No noticeable drawbacks at all.

I am very happy with this cable. It seemed to improve the high-end and add a further degree of clarity. The connectors on both ends are superior to the stock cable. I highly recommend this replacement cable.

The point at which the cord splits to go to the left and right ears - the cord is approximately 12 inches longer on the left side which leaves a coil of cord resting on your chest while listening to music. Poor quality monitoring for sure and looks cheap also. Would not buy from this seller again.

HD25に外観がマッチしそうという理由だけで購入。Geekriaとか聞いたことないし、検索してもほとんど情報も無かったので全く期待してなかったのですが、予想に反して音質が向上しました。解像度(分離)が良く、元気な音になり、音にしまりがでるので低音の気持ち良さに磨きがかかります。iphone直挿しでも問題無いレベルです。それと、ケーブルの見た目がHD25の無骨さとマッチしてて良いですね。個人的にはベルデンのカラフルなものよりこちらがHD25らしくて好きです。それと120cmなのでポータブルとして使いやすくなりました。購入から3年ほど経ちましたがまだ使えています。しかし、プラグの黒い塗装が剥げて真鍮素材むき出しになりました。これはこれでいいかもしれません（笑）追記:　購入後6年ほど経ちましたがまだ使えています音は良いですが、断線が多いようなのでやめたほうが無難です私の個体は写真と同じ黒い被膜のケーブルですが、現在は仕様変更されてるみたいなので品質も変わっているかもしれません

購入後1ヶ月以内に端末接触部が断線しました。ただいま販売店へ交換希望の連絡をしております。

中国からの発送のため、商品の到着は予定通りにならず、注文から3週間程度要しました。イライラさせられたので、キャンセルしようかとも思いましたが、商品が到着し、いざリケーブルしてみると、そうしたネガティブな感情を解消するだけの素晴らしい商品でした。ゼンハイザーの音色を損なうことなく、解像度が上がるとともに、低音の締まりがよくなり、１ランク、2ランク上の音質になりました。iPod Touchを直挿しで使用していますが、今までよりも音圧が上がったような印象も受けました。ジャズやロックを中心に聴いていますが、それらの音楽が気持ちよく聴くことができます。このケーブルにより、ゼンハイザーHD25-1Ⅱの素の良さを活かすことができると思います。【2016年2月追記】　断線し、右側が聴きづらくなりました。プラグの根元がダメージを受けています。街のイヤフォン専門店で、修理できないか相談したところ、修理できるが、もともと耐久性に難のあるケーブル素材であるため、他の部分の断線のおそれがある旨告げられました。音質が気に入っていただけに残念です。なので、評価を星二つに改定しました。
