Excellent waistcoat for a vintage look.
This waistcoat fit perfect in size and style. Has that "just right" snug fit, but doesn't make you feel constricted. Material and workmanship is of excellent quality. Goes perfectly with my 1920s outfit. Absolutely love this vest!

Happy
I got this for my husband. He's very happy with it. It can be worn formally or casually. It adds a bit of timeless class to everyday dressing. I recently purchased the matching hat for my husband as well

Thicker than I thought it be
Ideal for winter or colder and windy places. The vest is thick, not ideal for southern or warm climates. Really anything above 60°F.

Nice color, but slightly odd sizing
I tried this waistcoat in Khaki, Army Green and Coffee.Sizing: the sizing on these waistcoats was what I found the most off. I usually wear a 48R jacket, and so, per the sizing recommendations for this vest, I choose an XXL. The XXL fit nicely though the chest but the 5th button down (2nd button from the bottom) is just a bit snug. I suspect this is due to them being "slim fit" vests combined with me having a gut, but I mention this because I have not had this issue with other 'slim fit' vests I've gotten in the proper size.Just to be sure I had the best size, I did try a XXXL as well, but that one, while fitting around the belly if I tightened the straps enough, was *WAY* too large in the chest (as I would have expected). So ultimately, the sizes they recommend are probably going to give the best fit, but if you also have a bit of a gut be sure that the midsection of the vest fits you properly once you receive it.Colors: The khaki I found looks less like the picture on Amazon in real life (on amazon it looked fairly green, but in person it is certainly a medium khaki brown color). Meanwhile the Army green looks pretty dark in person and the brown undertones are subtle enough not to be noticed unless you try to bring them out with other parts of your outfit. Finally the coffee is a rich deep brown with reddish undertones which seems to be a little more unique of a choice for brown and I quite enjoyed it.Pros: these vests look very nice, and they have great colors as mentioned above. I love the fact they are self-backed (the back is made from the same material as the front allowing one to wear the vest without a jacket for a more relaxed/countryside style without the strange appearance a shiny back would give. The fact they are 50% wool would suggest they may wear better than something that was 100% synthetic, and the cut of these vests is nice -not too boxy, not too extreme.Cons: First off, these *do* leave black fuzz/lint behind (presumably from the lining?) as some other reviewers pointed out. I am assuming this will be remedied by a lint brush and/or time. As said earlier in this review, despite fitting well in the chest, they don't seem to fit perfectly in the mid section for me, but your mileage will likely vary as that can largely be chalked up to my body's unique proportions. (they are not *super* snug in the mid section, there is just that single button that is snug and I'm fairly certain a minor alteration should fix it (I plan to just move that button over by 1/4 inch which should be enough to fix it without making the the vest look weird when worn).Final verdict: These are nice vests if not amazing ones. For $40 they are not the very cheapest vests out there, but they also are still on the lower end and hence I would not expect total perfection. The colors are great (Army green seems to be an uncommon, but very versatile color for vests to me for instance). Ultimately I docked these vests one star because they did not fit quite as well as a lot of vests I've tried that are as cheap or cheaper than these, and the black fuzz/lint is a bit off-putting to be dealing with at the start. As for me, I ended up keeping the army green and the coffee as I did not want to have to tailor all 3 vests to get the button placement like it needed to be for me on that 5th button.(I choose to keep the Army green and Coffee even though the khaki was also great, but since the khaki and army green would have shared many of the same roles in my wardrobe -both have shades of greens and yellowish-browns just in differing amounts and thus compliment many of the same garments despite looking very different themselves- and I liked the Army green just a tiny bit more than the khaki).

Versatile, smart/ casual and stylish.
Saw this and had an idea it would go well with jeans, my brown boots and a buttoned shirt to go down to my local. I've had a few complimentary comments the first time it was worn so box ticked. It feels smart and casual at the same time, hard to explain really. The quality is perfectly acceptable but don't make comparisons with waistcoats twice the cost from gentleman outfitters or online countrywear shops. Great fit and the fact that the back was also herring bone tweed design instead of the usual silky material appealed to me more. It also made it a more unique design and gave it a better quality feel. The only thing i would say as a slight negative is that it was difficult to find a shirt that matched and didn't clash. Really pleased overall.

Outstanding value for money
I bought this waistcoat for the sole intention as part of my wedding outfit. It fits perfectly & is true to size. Compared to other Harris tweed waistcoats I looked at,this one represents outstanding value for money. The prices ranged from around £40 to £210. This one cost me £40. Although it's a wool blend & not a pure Harris tweed, you wouldn't know it! It looks & feels like others on the upper end of the price scale. Bargain.

Nice looking waistcoat, but way too big
I'm not sure if mine had the wrong label in but my medium sized waistcoat was huge! It's supposed to fit a 41 inch chest but mine measured about 44 inches across the chest, it was way too big and very flappy so it wasn't anywhere near a slim fit. Returned without issue so I might try the small size to see how that fits

Great buy.
I bought this as it had back in the same material as the front and is therefore a bit warmer than the usual lightweight back. The fit is excellent and the waistcoat is very comfortable. One point; go by the Amazon sizing; it is more accurate than the size shown in the illustration.

Very Nice, warm and reasonable fit
I like waistcoats but have not had a tweed one before. The fit is a little large but not noticeably/uncomfortably so. I was surprised at how warm it was and it will be used a lot during the winter months. As usual the pockets are sewn shut for delivery and whilst the bottom pockets were easy to unpick I had a little trouble with the top pocket. I am definitely looking at purchasing some of the other colours.
