These are really nice, but note they're a cube
These are really nice, but note they're a cube. They're meant to hold letter files, not legal files. Most of the plastic file folder boxes you get at the office stores and such are rectangular letter/legal boxes. So these may be somewhat smaller than you expect. (They were for me.)They're still really nice, and in the 6-pack they're a great value. Just know what you are getting.

"Small" - Great value, perfect size
Ok I've shopped around quite a bit for durable plastic storage boxes, and they're usually priced at least $10.99-$14.99 each. Here I paid $35 for 6, with free Prime shipping, which is a fantastic deal (under $6 each, about half the going rate). We were basically looking for a permanent bankers box, for file storage. The medium are roughly the same dimensions as a bankers box, while the small are not as long/deep (about 5" shorter). I've seen some complaints that the small were smaller than expected, but we were concerned that the medium would be too heavy once they were filled with files. I think we made the right decision. There are internal tracks for hanging files, and enough room on top so you can use tabs. They are also easily stackable - the lids have nice grooves so they lock into place. They're clear with clear lids, and the lid snaps into place. It doesn't really lock, but it's reasonably secure. They are thicker than your average Rubbermaid or Sterilite storage tubs, but they aren't heavy duty, so don't overfill them. They do have reinforced corners, but they could still crack under pressure. They also have a nice square bottom. A lot of plastic storage bins have tapered &/or rounded bottoms, which is fine for storing knick-knacks but horrible for file storage. Caution though, that means these don't nest well, and they ship in a yuuge box.Two thumbs up

Some details not so great
These boxes get a passing grade from me -- passing, not great.1. The top cover seems prone to cracking if you don't handle it with considerable care. This tells me that the plastic used is fairly brittle. A distinct flaw.2. On the inside, along each vertical corner there is a vertical ridge, about 1/4 inch tall and perhaps 4 inches long. This MAY facilitate extraction of empty boxes if they are stored inserted into one another (so they don't get stuck too deep making extraction difficult); however, those ridges (and their own corners) are sharp, and so I avoid storing in these boxes items that may be thus damaged or punctured, such as rolls of plastic sheets. Again, a distinct disadvantage and an annoying aspect.I don't mean to sound too harsh about this product, because this lack of design foresight (i.e., failure to see it from the user's perspective) is common to MANY products nowadays. To my unpleasant surprise, those boxes bear an inscription "Made in the USA." I'm sure we can do better.

Sturdy, perfectly sized, easy to carry when full, stackable, good value
I think I've ordered about 24 of these. I LOVE them. They are replacing all my cardboard boxes for archives and other files, for my business and personal use. They fit hanging folders and are easy to open (from the correct side). Perfect size and when full, easy to carry with the side grip, not too heavy when full of paper, books, etc. Stackable. Compact. Easy to label: I put a sheet of paper with the contents inside the front. I've had a bunch in my extremely hot attic for a couple of years with no degradation I can see -- and no silverfish!!! They've been in my frozen garage without cracking in the cold. And the cardboard box they come in (when you buy six) are very sturdy themselves, perfect for storing extra-large items like sports gear in the garage. (I admit to having trouble breaking those down to recycle since they are so USEFUL! But I don't want ever to be a candidate for Hoarders...lol). I'm hoping that they'll become just popular enough to bring the price down. Worth the cost, at about $8 each, but I do have budget limits. I'd buy more except for that. Would love them in other sizes. (Hope IRIS is reading this :-)

Also perfect for cubbies with i.e. IKEA furniture
I have many of those IKEA shelving units (expedit / kallex) and similar, which have square shelf areas, and I was always hunting for one-piece plastic bins to fit rather than the flimsy overpriced fabric baskets which didn't cut it for my kid's toys or our mess of electronic cables.I finally found these and want to spread the word! Not only are they great for filing (again, we can use our square cubby furniture instead of buying a filling cabinet), but the boxes are the perfect size to store anything in those square shelves!Especially love it for organizing kids toys - one for cars, one for action figures, etc. And you can put stickers on them to help identify! (I know sometimes stickers won't stick to plastic things).Quality material, well made, durable even with my crazy toddler, and totally affordable, even cheaper than those dumb cloth boxes! Highly recommend, buying more now :)EDIT: I thought they were a great deal when I paid 43, now they're down to 28, what! Snap these up!

Attention compulsive hoarders: you need these boxes so you don't have to open every box to see what's inside.
Attention compulsive hoarders: you NEED these boxes! Perfect size and shape to store magazines because you can see clearly what's in the box through the clear plastic walls. Yes, the plastic is a bit thin and one worries about their durability. But so far so good. All 6 boxes arrived intact and have remained so through their first (and last ) cycle of pack 'em, store 'em and forget 'em. My only regret is that I didn't order the 15-pack of these useful idiots, a mistake I shall rectify this very day. Superplusgood Newspeak bonus feature: these "Letter Size" boxes measure about 12" cubed, which is almost 50% smaller than those hateful, ubiquitous letter / legal size file boxes, which are way too heavy when packed to the gills with slick magazines and books (or, files, for that matter). These boxes are not as heavy when full.
