I guess I used this bracket for a purpose somewhat other than intended. It's sized to hold a DVD player, but I temporarily removed the rubber end caps and trimmed a few inches off each of the "legs" with a hacksaw. Now it's the perfect size to hold a cable box. It's easy to install and has a little trim piece to hide a few wires or cables. It seems to be made well and it's unobtrusive, so once the cable box or DVD player is mounted upon it, you really don't see much of the bracket itself.

This look may not be for everyone. I used it to hold electronics for a wall mounted 65" TV. It is as pictured and I installed it with OmniMount OCM On-Wall Cable Management Covers, to hide the cables and initially was happy with decision. But as I look at it every day; I am leaning towards building a cabinet around it to camouflage the electronics sitting on the wall. (*the Omnimount covers match exactly the profile of the cable run that comes with the self bracket. I painted them to match my wall and am really happy with them.)

Used to wall mount an Onkyo 605 receiver to a single stud. Clean, simple mount and not that expensive.
