Cranium Brain Breaks-Perfect for This Homeschooling Family
We love this game! We are a homeschooling family and our son has ADD so, he needs to take breaks from the academics here and there. One way that we do that is with Cranium Brain Breaks. It's great for him since it's hard for him to focus for a long time. This game is actually a bunch of quick one minute games, so they can be completed rather quickly. We have a ton of fun with it and laugh our heads off every time we play. It's a fun break in our day and we enjoy it so much! I highly recommend it for other homeschooling families that want to add some (more) fun into their day but, feel they don't have time.

Not at all like Cranium but very good for younger children
Not at all like Cranium but very good for younger children. Seven year old niece loved it and enjoyed all the activities. Some were challenging - writing with you toes! Would recommend to families with young children.

Fun, buuuut
as a family that LOVES cranium, this is a sad disappointment. If you are like us, and get very competitive with your family games, then this is not the best for you... Example: roll a regular die, whatever it lands on, you have to name that many items that are in your fridge. Roll a one and say ketchup. Next card

Very disappointed in the game
Rules were very unclear and many tasks were impossible to accomplish in 1 minute, especially when it involved the modeling clay. Very disappointed in the game. Had to go buy my grandson another game which proved to be much better.

New Favorite Game- Sample Card explained
We homeschool and try to play a game every day before getting down to business. I liked that this game had quick things to do, so that I could even try to work it in between subjects or when we're struggling as an actual Brain Break. I got it for my family for Christmas. Once my son played it he now tries to pick it as our game EVERY day! I feel like we'll be repeating cards soon. But he doesn't care. What I like:Each card IS repeatable. When he shuffled them one day the cards we did and didn't do got all mixed, so we ended up repeating some, and it was OK!Plenty of cards!Variety- just what Cranium is known for. Draw, write, move, run, sculpt, think. It's all in there.Funny Brain Top- My son loves to wear it like a hat while we play. You can play it as a game, or just grab a card for a quick break.Teamwork- Most of the cards you work together, it isn't winner or loser. We usually get the card done before time runs out. With kids younger than 8 it may be tougher to do. And since I do it for the game factor and not winning usually if the timer does run out we just keep going. But while we have cut it close it rarely runs out.Cons- I wish there were card expansions. I suspect that by next Christmas I'll have played these same cards 100 times.Cranium clay contains wheat. :( So I have to scrub everything throughly anytime a card involves sculpting. I'm going to just replace it with modelling clay. The pieces move around a bit. There are organizer slots in the brain to hold all the components, but they do move around. So when you take the lid off pieces go tumbling. It came with a plastic piece that held them in place for display, but of course it lasted about 5 seconds after it came out. This game is GREAT for families, or classrooms. We had a very nice discussion after a card involving a time capsule. It also has you list presidents, order things by size, lots of educational things that your child doesn't notice because it is FUN!Here's the wording of a randomly drawn card:Work together to complete the challenge.I'm the sketch artist for this activity, I start the timer and draw each of the homes below. Everyone else tries to guess at least two of them before time runs out.(Upside down lower down) igloo, beehive, doghouse, tent.I'm super glad I got this game!

Where is the end game here?
I didn't buy the game on here, but I have purchased many other games on Amazon. I thought that if I came here and read the reviews I could see what I was maybe doing wrong.. I'm not a highly competitive person, but I feel as though a game should have a point... And this game doesn't have one! Example card; "I start the timer and we take turns shouting out two things we're terrific at. The youngest player goes first." .... Ok. Does someone get a point for this or something?... Kinda stupid! Kinda pointless! A lot of the cards seem like they would be fun if their was a way to make it into a 'game', otherwise, it's just a list of quirky stuff to do! Not so much fun at parties or even to play with your family?! Disappointed! Could easily have been set up to be much more enjoyable!

Great Homework Aid!
This is a wonderful fast game. My children struggle with homework, they get fidgety and distracted very easily. So we have an agreement they work very hard for 10 minutes then we play one of these breaks! We continue to do this until their homework is complete. It has made homework more fun and enjoyable and gives the kids something to look forward to.

Great game for any time frame
My daughter (7.5 years old) and I love playing board games. We don't always have time for a full game, or sometimes she wants "just one more". So this game is perfect. We can decide to play through just 10 cards, or to play for 10 minutes, and we can have a lot of fun being creative and making each laugh.
