Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe Carpet Washer FH50150 (Renewed)

I am amazed at how well this carpet cleaner works. For the price point I figured it would be good but I didn’t expect it to be amazing, which it is. I used it last night to clean a room that one of our dogs had an accident in. It did a great job, the stain came right up and there was no odor. I also used it to clean our stairs since we had spilled something down a couple of them and was shocked at how well it brought up that stain with very little effort. But what really won me over was today when I spilled wall paint all over the carpet in our bedroom. I thought for sure it was going to be impossible to get up since it’s bright blue and it’s already hard enough to get paint out of carpet. But with a little bit of elbow grease and patience you can’t even tell! I used the hand held first and then ended using the full machine and I can’t believe it brought it all up without a trace. In the picture where you can some of the paint, to the left you can see the carpet marks from where I had initially scrubbed. It was the worst spot and I wish I would have taken a picture before cleaning any of it but the fact that this much came up prompted me to start getting the pictures. So the amount of paint you see is less than half of what was originally there! And as you can see in the second picture, you can’t even tell where the paint was at all now. You cannot beat the value of this product!!!

It arrived quickly and I used it the next day. Gets out the dirt. Only issue is it doesn't suck up as much water as I had hoped... so its wet for a while. Clean on a dry hot day and use fans to help with the drying process

It does a great job, I have 2 short haired great danes that make a mess of everything. This machine does a wonderful job of cleaning it all, but cleaning the machine afterwards is a pain in the rear. I still love it though.

I've only used this twice so far but it has been great! I'm still a bit leafy about the negative reviews stating the bearings rust but time will tell. It's comical that people complain about it leaking. It states right in the owners manual that there will be some leakage. So far, I use all my water up or will just empty it if needed. I set it on a towel when I'm done but it has not leaked yet. I think it's probably residual water left in the hose that is draining out for some people. Yes, could be irritating, but the directions warn you and it's cheap. The only downfall so far that I see is I'm constantly having to add more water and this thing goes through soap/shampoo like crazy! I had a Bissell shampooer for 12-15 years and was worried I wouldn't like this one, but it does the job!

I love this carpet shampooer!!! I got every bit of my $500 deposit back, despite my bitchy ex-friends dogs pissing all over the place when I let her stay with me, so rancid I’m gagging just thinking about it right now. Anyway, I’m so happy to never have to pay for a grocery store rental cleaner again. I have two little dogs who are for the most part well trained but do have accidents from time to time and hey carpet gets gross just because. It’s so nice to be able to shampoo my carpets every week. This thing is a miracle worker. I am so so so glad I purchased. Also, the attachments are perfect for tiny spots or even upholstery!

My mom has had one of these machines for about 6 years now. I got sick of borrowing hers and finally bit the bullet and bought my own! Worth every penny. I have a dog that occasionally marks/has accidents in the house. If you’ve ever had that problem with a dog you know, you have to remove the scent completely or else the dog will do it again!!! This completely exacts the stain and all related odor and helps my pup not to be so tempted to return to the same spot.

The machine we received worked great for about 5 minutes, seemed like the best machine ever. However, the tube for the hand tool doesn't stay in place well and I have to stop and readjust it every time I move the machine. This refurbished product is actually not worth the few bucks you'll save. I'll explain why. First off, being refurbished will void the manufacturer warranty. The seller I purchased this from was AceElectronix. Don't expect help from this particular company if the product has an issue, they will send you over to the manufacturer where you actually have no warranty. Their return policy is ridiculous, they certainly make it not worth your while to return it, in fact you will lose a significant amount of money repackaging and dragging that machine back, where you will pay for the label yourself. Then they will also deduct the initial shipping cost from the return, along with a 15% restocking fee. If the product was damaged during shipping, you must catch the UPS guy and refuse the package, otherwise the claim will be voided. Oh, and if the people who shipped you a defective item, determine that you filed a "false report" of defective product, they will take an additional fee (the amount of which is undetermined). Even new carpet cleaners are hit or miss, but at least there's a warranty. I would stay away from purchasing this refurbished carpet machine from AceElectronix, and make sure to check the return policy before purchasing from anyone.

Works great lightweight also, which is nice, for a old guy. Really works well.
