Overrated and overpriced
I am not at all Impressed with this product. I ordered the whole bean coffee, and ground was sent by mistake.The flavor was very sub-par- just kind of "meh." I have had Starbucks blends that tasted better than this one. The beans are not organic, fair trade, or shade grown- and yet much more expensive than the ones that are.There is no date on here to state when the beans were roasted (a very important fact if you want the freshest flavor!!) only a sticker stating "expiration dec 2015". There is no way that I would drink coffee which was roasted a year ago... So that expiration date was absurd.The "unique and one of a kind" oil that comes with it is also misleading. I have been able to find high quality mct oil at a fraction of the price- and there is no information stating why "this product" should be any better than the other mct oils I am finding- except for the fact that his special oil actually lacks 2 out of the three mct's!!!Once again- highly overpriced and overrated for what this is- plain ground coffee with mct oil.The reason that I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is the research and theory behind the idea of bulletproof coffee. Adding high quality oils to the coffee- specifically mct oil and grass fed butter- has definitely changed my coffee drinking experience. I no longer get jitters or brain fog after drinking it- something I was only able to do with decaf coffee before. (Note- the effects stay the same whether o am drinking this special coffee with his oil, or my locally roasted, organic fair trade beans with a much cheaper mct oil.)I really wanted to like this product. My husband is a naturopathic doctor, and he really wanted to recommend it to his patients... But we have both been left underwhelmed and dissappointed.Don't waste your money.

This is a realistic rating based on the following: first of all, the Price -1 star, Dubious Marketing -1 star, the Quality of the Coffee -1 star and finally the Packaging -1 star. I am on the keto diet, and figured I'd explore a bit. I was already using butter in coffee, so I figured I would try their "Bulletproof Coffee" recipe. Even if I could give no stars, I still would have given a star, simply for the Brain Octane. If my bottle of brain octane is accurate, it is 100% coconut oil, with no other ingredients. They do say (buried in the "Product Description" (on Amazon) that the brain octane may contain palm oil, which would wildly change the quality and price point (much lower).To be more specific: the Price of this combo pack is way too high, especially for the quality of the coffee. Just add Ghee or butter to your (current) favorite coffee, and boom, you saved money! Marketing: Bulletproof is no stranger to unconfirmed and wild marketing claims, just look online and you'll see that professionals and institutions call them out on most of them. While I bought Brain Octane for its fat content (Keto happy), claiming it will change your energy or mental performance is complete nonsense. The most disappointing part of this product is the coffee.. it is nothing more than repackaged (and quite poorly) Folgers! And finally, the packaging.. The 12 ounces of coffee comes in the lowest quality packaging possbile. It is not resealable (industry standard), it will rip in multiple places (just poor quality) and it will be in a 24 ounce package, visually cheapening the brand altogether. The "Brain Octane" has been the subject of many reviews (on Amazon and elsewhere) for the bottle leaking everywhere, almost every use. I thought, whatever, I can live with that.. but it is quite maddening!I would not return this product, as I knew what I was getting into.. just wanted to let anyone else know - if this helps at all. I can't drink the coffee, as I like mine strong and flavorful, luckily I have some Death Wish Coffee handy. If the Brain Octance does what I want (with Ketone levels) then I may use it further, perhaps looking elsewhere for 100% Coconut Oil w/ a real bottle :)-

Keeps my mind active, and belly satisfied!
I absolutely love this!I Blend in 2 Tablespoons of grassfed butter with my coffee and add a few drops of Stevia Hazlenut. I've actually replaced my breakfast with this, and i sip on it throughout the day. By the time 2pm rolls around, i'm still not hungry, but i eat because i know it's time to eat :)

Great products but expensive
Great alternative to Starbucks, but overpriced. Simply get some premium, pure, MCT oil at a much lower price and get the same results. The MCT oil makes a great addition to many drinks and greatly improves your mental focus and health.

Worth The Extra Dough
Seriously love my Bulletproof coffee. It doesn't give ne the nasty caffeine withdrawals or the jitters I get with regular coffee. The Brain Octane Oil makes a total difference in my energy level. A few times I forgot to add it and really noticed a difference. I just hope that the price comes down a little bit.

The Octane oil is great. I really did not feel hungry all day with this stuff. But it is expensive. I'm not sure how much of the result is attributed to the coffee as opposed to the oil and it seems overpriced to me, but...... I personally will continue to buy C8 and find other coffees that I like more.

"Bulletproof" lives up to the hype!
I have bought into the program: I find that the double helping of caffeine, an ounce of grass-fed cow butter and a tablespoon of bullet-proof oil, all blended together, does, indeed, provide an energy boost, quell my hunger until lunch time and eliminate my need to drink additional coffee for the rest of the day to alleviate drowsiness or provide an energy booster (I formerly drank about 6-8 cups of coffee a day). This is an expensive package, but so far I am paying the price.

Great quality but overpriced
There is no question relating to the quality of the product. The brain octane is very good. BUT, the sales gimmick of requiring a person to buy the coffee with the oil is not appreciated, especially at $12/lb. I am buying a different brand of oil at a significantly lower price per ounce and without the coffee sad on.

Ordered Ground Coffee and got Whole Beans
As you can see on the white order label, it says Amazon Exclusive Intro Kit with 12 oz Ground Coffee but as you can see on the package label, it says Original Whole Bean Coffee. Since I don't have a coffee grinder, this is a problem especially because I MADE SURE TO ORDER GROUND COFFEE and not whole beans to begin with. This is very misleading and frustrating.

Like the coffee
Coffee tastes great. Quit Tim Hortons coffee easy with this coffee and have been feeling great, but getting a little tired of putting butter in my coffee. My magic bullet is now leaking coffee when I blen which is super annoying.
