My favorite Luxury Watch for Everyday Wear
This is simply put, my favorite watch. It has the weight and feel of the solid luxury piece it is, weighing in at roughly 6 oz. after several links were removed to fit to my wrist. I purchased this watch for everyday use. The sapphire blue hands are easily read, the displays are likewise not difficult to read, and the date is quite large, which is what we all look at most. I love the perpetual calendar (Yay! No more adjusting the calendar each month!) The watch seems very accurate through several days of use, will NEVER need a battery (thus, no opening the case and potentially compromising water resistance, at least until service is required). Even on my smaller wrist, the watch looks great, not too big. What REALLY sold me though, was the kinetic movement. It charges as you wear it, and if you put it away for a few days on vacation, to wear a different watch, the watch "sleeps". When you pick it up, it automatically adjusts to the proper date and time. Hard to appreciate how nice that feature is, and it can sleep if fully charged/wound for up to four years. In summary, an over the top, luxury watch to keep. I've had more expensive watches, but not, I think, better. The seller GMT Time delivered a watch like new in box with manuals, tags, etc. I did note no protective plastic sheet over watch crystal or back, or on any part of bracelet, which tells me the watch has been handled, but mine was pristine and runs beautifully so far. Deal of a lifetime too, as I just saw the identical watch at my jewelers for the full price of $650.

Satisfied customer
This is a classy watch that looks much better in person. Even though I like the silver metal band and I think it's very well made, I think a brown leather band from Seiko would compliment the white dial and blue hands a lot more. The band is about the only thing I would change with this watch.DATE ADJUSTMENT: After more than one month of owning this watch, there was one incident when I had to adjust the date after not wearing the watch for 10 days. The date was behind by one day for some unknown reason. This is the only time thus far that I had to adjust the date. Apart from this one isolated incident, the watch operates as promised. The date automatically adjust while in sleep mode and the time resumes when you awaken the watch. If you experienced a similar problem, I would like to know as it might suggest this date problem is rather common.

Le grand sport kinetic impresses!
I was intrigued by this watch after seeing it in an ad in Esquire, so I checked out the reviews and watched the videos, and the more I saw, the more I was impressed. Than I tried it on... It's a heavier watch, but not too heavy. The heft imparts a sense of quality. The highly polished bezel "dresses" up this watch, and IMHO, makes it less of an everyday type of watch. Not to be saved for special occasions, but not worn to the market on a Saturday afternoon. The large date window in the 12 o'clock position makes this watch a standout. I don't think any other watchmaker is doing this. The month sub dial is actually helpful. The 24 hour one not so much. The leap year window is also unique and important for the perpetual calendar to work properly. The hands are a deep blue that match the blue stone set in the crown. The blue nicely offsets the white face and silver case. The automatic mechanism keeps time perfectly. The energy save mode where the hands stop moving, but the watch remembers the time and then returns to the right time and when the watch is "awakened" (by shaking it) is an amazing technology. Seiko has a winner!Amazon marketplace has some good prices on this watch. At least $200 less than brick and mortar stores like Macy's.

Sharp, Quality Watch
This Seiko watch is stylish, well crafted and accurate. I paid around $300 for the watch. Amazon has about the cheapest price for this watch. The watch is accurate. I have noticed it is less than 8 seconds off a month. It keeps accurate time and with the perpetual calendar, you only have to reset it for daylight savings time. It has a sapphire crystal so it won't scratch. The stainless steel case and band are very well made for the price. It is a large watch but not huge. Easy to read the time, date, month and 24 hr indicator. It even keeps track of leap years. The Kinetic movement means you don't have to replace batteries every year. It has a rechargeable battery powered by the movement of your wrist. Eventually the rechargeable battery will need to be replaced but it should be many years. It is worth the price I paid.

small scratch in the bezel
When I opened the box, I saw a small scratch on the bezel. It is a mistake not to check the time of delivery. But the Watch is very good. This watch has all the features of Kinetic. And sapphire-glass.

Quality very good: sapphire glass
Advantages:1. Accurately measuring time,2. Quality very good: sapphire glass, a good case and bracelet,3. Perpetual calendar works very fine,4. Power Save Function.5. Beautiful appearance ;-)Disadvantages - exactly you need to read manuals especially when it comes to numbers calendar - why?1. It is difficult to set a calendar2. Digits of the calendar is not lined up exactly (date numeral may not appear in the center of the calendar frame) - were improperly positioned, but when I read instruction:"When setting the calendar in the direction backward, put the date back for oneor two days behind the date you wish to set, and then advance it to the desireddate.✽ Follow the above procedure for setting the calendar in the direction backward, otherwisethe date numeral may not appear in the center of the calendar frame. Even though thishappens, the date display will be aligned correctly the following day.✽ When setting the calendar backward to dates in December, the year indicator may notbe correctly aligned. In that case, set the calendar back to November then forward it tothe correct date in December."

Update - needs repair after 1 year and Amazon does not honor the warranty
I received this watch as a birthday present. I have owned it only a couple of weeks, but for me it is a perfect balance of classy but simple styling. There is nothing gaudy about it, and yet it attracts plenty of attention. The "go to sleep" function gives it some geek factor as well. This is a hefty watch, and about the largest I would want on my arm. Having said that, it is still reasonably sleek and fits easily with the cuffs on my dress shirts.I love it.**update - the second hand is pausing and then ticks off three seconds. Apparently this indicates the capacitor needs to be replaced.I spent an hour on the phone, during which Amazon Watch dept. passed me off to Amazon.com. Amazon.com to Amazon.ca (where I purchesed it), and Amazon.ca to Asurian who handles watch warranty. Asurian said they only handle warranties for watches sold after May 15 2015 and sent me back to Amazon.Although this is covered under the two-year warranty, Amazon does not honor the warranty, so I have to send it at MY EXPENSE to Toronto. So, I still love the watch, but would not make another similar purchase via Amazon. I am also considering closing my Amazon account and taking my business to ali baba.
