Highly recommended
My cousins child who is a 8yr old keen artist was desperate to learn how to draw horses, she has absolutely loved this book. I gave it to her as a gift hoping that although it would be in English (she's Danish) I was relying on the reviews that said the style of the tutorials were easy to follow. I was extremely impressed that she was able to teach herself how to draw horses purely on the images without reading the advice and information.

Informative and amusing book
Wonderful book! I absolutely LOVE it!! It is NOT just for children. Plenty of information here for all ages and abilities. There are realistic looking ponies as well as very humorous and quirky ones. There is even a pony in an armchair!!!If you want to cheer yourself up, get this book.

Christmas present for horse mad daughter who is not confident about drawing. Her drawing has come on in leaps and bounds and she is loving it. Would definitely recommend.

fantastic horse and or pony drawing book and fun!
I love to draw horses and Jennifer Bell's book on drawing horses is among my favorites. So Imagine my delight when I gound she has created another drawing book -- this time on drawing ponies (small horses). And once again, pages artfully crammed full of inspiring drawings, humorous renditions and FUN! I love that she shows the feet (ohh the feet) in various poses (not just plopped in grass) and WHY the legs have bony protrusions.Covered is perspective, dawing mediums from crayon to pastel and pen and ink to name 3. Really, this is a book any horse or pony lover with cherish. It is an excellent book to learn how to draw from although if you are new to drawing you might want another step by step book. It is great because it shows how to get expression in the horse or pony, how to show its emotions and also how it looks running, standing or just plain eating grass. This is a book you won't part with. :)She also has a website which is a companion to this book.

love it
Love the cute and clever interpretations. I actually learned a lot. I very much like that she shows how to color with different medium, not many books do this
