The. TONE.
It’s common knowledge that three point bridges are hard as h€ll to adjust, articulate, and just don’t transmit enough string vibration into the body. This solves all those problems and then some. It looks amazing. It sounds even better. If you own an Epiphone or Gibson bass. This is a must have.

Drops right in to my SG bass
I bought one of these in black mostly for looks on my Gibson SG SE bass. The black looks really nice against the light, natural finish. I may get another for a blue Gibson Les Paul Jr. I recently got...Again, really more for the looks of the black bridge. This one is easy to adjust. I've gotten pretty comfortable with setting-up the Gibson 3-point bridge over the years. I have them on 8 different basses. This one is easier to adjust. I like the easier, faster string replacement on the original 3 point however. The individual string height adjustment with this one is nice to have, but most of my Gibson basses have nearly perfect necks, so the 3-point is sufficient. If your neck or fret-work is less than perfect, this extra adjust-ability would be a good thing. This bridge may have added a little bit to the sustain, but it's very slight if it did. I think the whole sustain thing is WAY over-rated for bass anyway. Guitar yes, bass no. The sound may be slightly brighter as well, but the difference is hard to notice if there is any, especially with flats. Might be more noticeable with rounds.

Best bridge made for Gibson Thunderbirds!
This is a must have if you have the 3 point bridge in your Thunderbird. Easy to install. Had to tweak the truss rod just a tad. They are easy to get set up once installed. I’m a novice at doing things to my guitars but I took the challenge on to replace it and I was surprised how easy it was. The most important thing is to be patient when setting up. I used the strings that I had on it before just to perform all of the adjustments. That’s a great idea because by the time I was done with the set up, the old strings had been through the ringer. The sound is incredible. Mind sounds like a completely different guitar! The sustain is unbelievable. I have two Fender PJ Basses and another Gibson Thunderbird that is a 2018 model. It came with a Babicz bridge installed from the factory. From my I understanding the Babicz are installed from Gibson on models that began in 2015 and newer. I’m very satisfied with the Babicz as it makes full contact with the body. The factory 3 point bridge on my 2014 Thunderbird was horrible. Wouldn’t stay in tune and the adjustments were at their full travel I. The low E string. Best move I ever made in replacing it with the Hipshot. It just became my go to bass. But one, you won’t be disappointed.

Perfect Upgrade!
Just what I needed! I replaced that crappy bridge that comes on my Epiphone Thunderbird IV I just purchased from zZounds. Along with a fresh set of D 'Addario XL nickel strings, a Tusq XL nut (stock is junk), and some time setting the neck, intonation, string height and pickup height and this baby ROCKS!!! Plenty of YouTube vids on how to do these setups - it's not hard.

As Far as I'm Concerned, a Must-Do Modification for any Gibson-Style Bass
The bridges on Gibson and Epiphone basses aren't "bad," per se. They function as they should in terms of intonation and are very reliable. That's what makes the HipShot 3-Point so surprising. The difference between tone and playability before and after upgrading the bridge is night and day. I installed these on both a short scale hollow body bass with flat wounds and a standard 34" inch bass with roundwound strings. The short scale is thumpier and there is a noticeable enhancement of the low-mid frequency which makes the sound much sweeter. The standard scale, well, is now capable of melting faces when a little of overdrive or fuzz are thrown into the signal chain. If you're thinking about buying one of these, just do it. They aren't cheap, but they deliver far more value than the purchase price. Installation is easy enough, even for clumsy, non-technical folks like me.

FINALLY A BASS BRIDGE WORTHY TO BE INSTALLED ON A GIBSON BASS!
I've had a love/hate relationship with most recent Gibson basses due to their "3 point bridge", which is, in this humble bassists opinion, worthless! I recently purchased a 2013 Gibson Thunderbird bass. I'd been wanting one for years. Of course, it has the 3 point bridge. When I received the bass, the action was just a little too high for me, so I began to lower the bridge a bit. As soon as I did, the ferrules that hold the bridge onto the body, just pulled right out of said body. It was at that point that I started looking for a replacement bridge. I wasn't even sure I could find one that would work. After using some Franklin Titebond Liquid Hide Wood Glue to hold the ferrules in place I started checking out bridges and came across this one designed by Hipshot specifically FOR Gibson basses. Received it and man, I am blown away. It is a massive bridge and fits onto the existing ferrules perfectly. It also comes in contact with the body of the bass, thereby increasing sustain. And the tone of the bass is just amazing. If Gibson was smart, they would start installing the Hipshot Bridge on all of their basses that utilize the 3 point bridge. It turned my Thunderbird into a bass MONSTER!!! So get one for your Gibson bass. You won't be sorry. And you'll probably kick yourself for not doing it sooner.

Great bridge, wish it looked better.
Way nicer than the original 3 point but I think the price is too high. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice bridge a totally changed the playability but for the price I think they could designed something the looks a little bit more suited for a Thunderbird. It doesn’t look organic on the bass but the more I play it the less I care.

A great Bridge!
I took a chance and bought one of these a while back to put on one of my Gibson Thunderbirds. Loved it so much I bought another one to put on other T-Bird. Great product!
