Helix DNA Discovery Test Kit: Ancestry + Wellness Basics Includes at-Home Saliva Collection

It would have been 5 stars but I am having an issue with Insitome Regional. I paid for the information but never recieved access to it and have gotten the usual run around. Also, even with the purchase of Geno 2.0, you don't get that much information, not as much as 23 and me. I should have bought that then I wouldn't feel like I have been cheated by the lack of customer service from both Helix and Insitome. I can not believe that a company based in science is having this many issues with getting access to purchased data.

I got one for my husband and I for the holidays. It really just hooks you because it doesn't give you much information until you buy more of the products they promote... From reading it I thought it would give us more than what we got... Also my husband already got his result and i'm literately 8 days from 30 days that my DNA is still in sequence.. my husband got his like 2 weeks ago and we sent them at the same time... Maybe my DNA is difficult to sequence? Unsure...

My dna has been “sequencing” for 3 weeks now. Still no results but from the other reviews posted sounds like I’m not going to get any of the information I’m looking for even when it’s done. Bought two kits, one for me and one for a friend for Christmas. I was under the impression this was comparable to 23and me or ancestory dna. I’m really really disappointed that I wasted $100 ):

This kit is worthless. When you take the test they send you a letter/email saying they have your DNA on file and a list of things you can choose from but they all cost more money. All this kit gives you is some worthless wellness information from there you pay for anything else. I spent $150 on three of these kit for my kids and in return I got practically nothing.

So very disappointing! Gives a very general ancestry location...so, I was told I am 99% from the broad continent of Europe. Yes, I know my ancestry is European...I would have like detailed break-downs...none were provided. When I contacted Helix they said I need to upgrade my order, and spend more money, to purchase the National Geographic kit. They argued with me, and told me that Amazon misrepresented their product...

The idea of the saliva DNA concept is cool, however my boyfriend and I both purchased them and our results came back practically identical (And we know there is no chance of that). If you want something that is legit & can tell you something that you don’t already know (like you’re broadly “European”), pay more for another option.
