Pretty cool
It's tradition at our house to get a football every year for Christmas (3 boys). I'm always looking for something unique and bought this. The glasses and the glow of the football is really cool. It takes a little getting use too, but once your eyes get adjusted (ball comes quickly) it's a ton of fun. Would recommend.

Sweet!
I totally thought this ball lit up but it doesn't! But that's not a problem cuz when you put the glasses on, it illuminates! It is so cool! I play with it all the time! The only con is that when you throw it and you look down or something, you can't really see it! But that's not a big problem! It's very good entertainment!

Nerf or Nothin!
My kids and I play catch with this quite often. It’s a nice ball, but it would be nicer if it had a better grip! It tends to slip out of your hand every other throw or so! But still a nice and fun ball

Works great
I can't believe how well these work. The ball lights up really bright no matter how high you throw it. The red glasses light the ball up red and green glasses light it up green. Basically there are reflectors on the ball so whatever light you shine at it will reflect.it would be 5 stars if they had a strap or something because you can't really move or run around with them. Just play catch.the ball is really small but has good weight so you can throw it far.

Gimmick, not work the money
The "headsets" are poorly made, one wasn't working upon arrival. After working with it to get it on, the amount of light they throw out to reflect off of the ball is so small it doesn't really work. Also, the reflective coating on the ball wore off with use after one or two days. Would not recommend.

Awesome night football
I bought this football for my eight year old son. It is lightweight and durable; it comes with one green and one red Nerf Firevision Fire Frames. I bought an extra set of frames so four could play football at dusk and beyond. You can clearly see the football. Red and green can have their own teams and the light is strong enough to see the football from far away. I was worried that we'd lose the football in the dark if it was not caught, but it's no problem at all. The only thing you have to get used to is that it is a little hard to judge depth in the beginning.I highly recommend this for anybody who enjoys football.

Batterie’s corroded and swollen
The football is great but the batteries were swollen and corroded so I couldn’t use

The effect itself is pretty cool, but this product has some issues for those truly trying to play catch in low light or the dark
As stated, the effect looks cool, but there are a few things you should know:1.The ball - The ball is pretty small. If your child is 10 or over, it's probably too small for them to throw well if they know how to properly throw a football. The reflective strips are on the side of the ball. If you throw a perfect spiral right at your target, it becomes near invisible. Effectively, you have to deliberately throw a wobbly pass to see the ball well. Admittedly, this still looks pretty cool. Finally, the reflective strips are just glued onto the ball. Ours are holding up fine so far, but I don't see them standing up to long term use.2. The glasses - As other users have stated, you must be wearing the glasses for this to work, and it only comes with two, but you can buy extras. The color of the ball depends on which glasses you are wearing, which is kind of cool. The effect that allows you to see the ball at night works on any reflective surface, which can be distracting at times. I think the worst part of this design is that the light beams that reflect of the ball are shining right at the other player's face. You must look (at least slightly) away from the person to whom you are throwing the ball or else you'll be blinded by the light coming from their glasses. Finally, the glasses don't fold, which makes storage more of an issue than it should be.3. Recommendation - While the effect itself is really cool (provided that you deliberately throw a poor pass to make the ball wobble), I can't recommend this ball for nighttime play. I only gave this product three stars because the description is at least pretty honest about what you are getting. Still, the ball is too small and the issues with the glasses add up. Look for a ball that actually lights up or glows. When I find one, I'll add that to this review.

when is a football not a football ?
i love the idea, but the title should be american football or not a soccer ball, other than that, the teenagers love the concept, so we are keeping it, but please make a soccer ball as well, great toy & the have stopped sitting in front of the computer & games machine, so must be good for dark evening :)
