i've been using this watch for almost a month now and i have to say that i like it. this watch is a replacement for my old black baby-g which i used for about 5 years without a problem. the only reason why i replaced it is b/c the LED light stopped working a few months ago and i am one of those people who are anal about being able to see my watch in the dark.this analog watch is very nice looking. the features are great and i've had a lot of compliments.the reason why i didn't give it 5 stars is because:1. the resin band gets dirty very easily. if you are like me and wear your watch all the time (eg. to sleep, in the shower, working out), then it's probably better to get another color. i find that i am constantly cleaning the band. the inside of the band (the part that touches my skin) is already a bit discolored...probably b/c i wear self tanning body lotion. i am going to try cleaning it with a little bleach and q-tip and see if that will whiten it up.i actually looked online yesterday to see if it was possible to replace the orginal band with a stainless steel one. i contacted a company that sells replacement bands for casio and i'm still waiting for a response. if they have it, i will likely replace it.2. this watch (like the original baby g that i had before) doesn't have the ability to do intervals in stopwatch/timer mode. so, if you are a runner and you like to do 10/1s, there's no beep that goes off at the 10 minute mark and the one minute mark. this is an important feature for long distance runners so if you need that, i say, go for timex or some other brand.3. the LED button is really hard to find and press in the dark. the old baby G had that great BIG button right on the bottom of the face of the watch. there was never a problem finding it in the middle of the night. with this watch, you have to press the top right button. i find that i'm always fumbling to find it and even when i find it, i seem to have problems pressing it. luckily the hands on the watch also illuminate so you don't necessarily need to use that feature as much.All in all, i would recommend this watch. it's reasonably priced, sturdy, fashionable yet functional. my old one lasted forever and the face always looked new even though it was 5 yrs old. i did replace the band about 2 years ago though b/c if you wear it all time time like i did, the resin will start to deteriorate and fall apart. I am positive the mechanics of this watch will be just as good, but i'm pretty sure the band itself will need replacing a lot sooner (b/c it's white and will look pretty ugly in the not so distant future) and the face won't stay as 'clean/new' as the black one did.hope this helps in making your decision.

Analog and digital. 5 alarms. 100 meter water resistant and G-Shock. Great value
Bought as a gift. Recipient loved it. Just what she needed. Affordable, analog hands, digital displays, g-shock protection, midrange water resistance (330 feet/100 meters) five alarms and an hourly signal (great as she has to take medications at several points in her day), countdown timer and stopwatch (useful for her exercise sessions). World Time is nice if you periodically have to travel across time zones. The watch was no more difficult to set up than my own Casio G-Shock men’s watch. The interface is consistent. This one was even interesting for me as you set the time zone and time digitally and the hands then move by themselves to sync with the digitally set time. Agree with other reviews that the next version Casio makes of this watch needs to have electroluminescent backlighting, tritium phosphorus hands or some better way of illuminating the hands and digital displays so it is more readable in the dark, but if you angle the watch when you illuminate it, it is more readable. Tough solar would also be useful for the next version, but the price point on this particular watch is exceptionally good as it is. It can handle the water exposure, banging and abuse from her swimming and exercise. Really good value.Updating my review: Jan 16, 2019 - I returned the watch as it stopped working for the woman I gave it to. Analog hands stopped syncing with digital time. Watch hands were showing 10:45 am at 1:05 PM. Could not be reset or resynched. Amazon is refunding. I have had many Casios over several decades and they have all been exceptionally reliable. This was the second one which ever failed. I will replace it with a different model. Dropping this one star.

Great sport watch for skinny wrists!
I was a little worried ordering this watch, because I struggle at finding a watch that doesn’t swallow my wrist, but I am pleasantly surprised! I have had it for a month now and wear it daily. As a female adult, my wrist circumference is that of a small child’s; just under 6”! I still have 2 slots to tighten it, so that is wonderful. I also don’t feel like the face is so big that it looks ridiculous on my arm—it’s just right. I have not used it swimming, so I cannot attest to its water resistance. It was a little difficult setting up, but I found YouTube helpful!

Hard to read
Love all the watches in the G-shock line. The hands are very similar in color to the face making it difficult to read. The hands should be an off setting color to that they don't blend in with the face.

I own this watch and I love it!
I own this watch and I love it!! It is so light and comfortable to wear! I have a 6 inch wrist and the band fits and the watch doesn't look too large! Easy to set if you go by the manual! I struggled with the date but I had to reset my year then it was correct. Love the orange glow of the light which allows me to see the hands in the dark.Once I set the digital time the hands automatically set themselves to the correct time! I have yet to use all the functions offered on this watch but will eventually! Even tho it's silver on white the time is easy to read for me. I would recommend this watch and I would buy it again as a gift!

Nice but not exactly what I wanted
I've had a Baby G for the last 4 years. It recently broke. I thought i was ordering the same watch, but that isn't the case, even though they look similar. Mine had more silver and had links in the band which were a hard plastic. It was also a little dressier. This watch has a buckle type, rubbery band which looks cheap. I will probably return this, even though it is a fairly nice watch for the price. One positive: It was much easier to adjust and set the time than my previous watch.
