It works!
12v water heaters in a vehicle tend to be slow to produce a cup of hot water. Note this 450ml cup draws 120 watts. That's a higher watt draw than other cup heaters I looked at. Example watts may be 40, 50, 60, 70 W. My vehicle has a 15A dedicated fuse for the 12v outlets and can handle up to a 180 watt appliance. I am very happy with the cup. The plug sits high on the cup so it readily sits in a cup holder. The lid fits with a simple seal and has not leaked yet. I chose the cup for its ability to heat water. The heating element does not touch the contents so one could heat a substance other than water and clean the inside afterward. Just remember not to immerse the cup during cleaning and cause damage to the electrical connection. Great inexpensive.water heater,

Coffee on the Road
Nice to use for traveling. I make coffee with mine. No need to stop at expensive coffee shops.

Warmed (AT BEST)
I bought this for camping as an alternative to having to set up my Coleman propane stove and percolator. Thought if I had hot water, I could make a cup of coffee with my french press (easy peasy).Well, this BARELY warmed my coffee. I gave it about 30 minutes while I packed up my tent and gear. By the time I was all done, it was hardly warm (and, I started with luke warm water to begin with). It's probably good if you already have a hot beverage and plan on sipping it over a long period of time, but at that point, you're better off buying a good thermos.Overall, the second I saw the box it came in, I knew it'd likely be going back. (Especially for $20!)

Test it ASAP for water leaking before using in the car

Short Life. Now just a mug.
The charging port broke after the first few times it was plugged in. Now its just a mug. Packaging was a dead give away it was made cheaply and it broke as expected.

Keeps my coffee hot in the Car.
DON'T buy the mug with a plastic inside ... been there... done that ... IT MELTS ... only buy the mug with Stainless inside.The last one I bought lasted 2 weeks, before it failed.A replacement is to be shipped to me but will take 15 to 18 days, due to shipment from China ...I'm NOT impressed...

Great cup for keeping beverages warm. Just don't try to make tea with it. 160° not hot enough to MAKE tea.

Dangerous to health (poor plastic lid) and stopped working
Extrwmely disappointed,1. The inside of the plastics lid lost its color (black became grey) which means the color and plastic got released into the liquid that I drank. This is cancerous, if anything happens to me I will hold Amazon liable.2. The cap keeps on heating to very high temps, I am being treated from tongue burns.3. A week ago the cup stopped working all together.
