Chef'n Pull'n Slice Mandoline

This is my favorite mandolin. I dehydrate fruit. The mandolin and the dehydrator are my most essential tools in this process. This mandolin makes my life so much easier. I like the mechanism of it. Rather than sliding the fruit back and forth, with this mandolin you slide a part of the mandolin which makes the whole process much easier and fast. Also, it slices the fruit to perfection! I own two of these!

It's safer and easier to use than other mandolins I've used. The different blades and thicknesses make getting the cut I want simple. And the blade storage is great (as long as I remember to remove them before I start slicing LOL)!!

When blade setting at zero, blade still raised and exposed. Sliced my finger trying to remove label. Complicated blade placement , unit must be at edge of counter or fingers get pinched on pull push.Not nearly as safe as more modern vertical safe mandolins.On plus side, it did slice fresh tomato cleanly but thickest setting is only 1/4".

This is a great, user friendly Mandoline. Recommend this for cooks - guaranteed no sliced fingers.

I've wanted a mandoline for a long time, and am so excited that I found this one! It's fairly easy to use once you figure it out, and most importantly, safe and sturdy. The blades are protected both during use and in storage. I definitely think kids would have a fun time helping make french fries or veggie chips with this (with supervision!). It has even inspired me to stop buying the pre-sliced vegetables so that I can experiment! The slicing process is much faster than I imagined it would be, which cuts down on prep time.

Fantastic mandoline. The best one I've used! Feels a lot safer with the silicon feet and pull motion.

We have been using another type of mandolin for years and really love how quickly and cleanly you can dice, slice or julienne vegetables. I always use the safety guard and haven't had a problem. The one time my husband didn't, he did give himself a pretty nasty cut. He saw this one and felt there was even less chance of hurting yourself and bought it for us. We are of at least average intelligence but found we needed to refer to the video a couple of times to actually figure out how to use this as intended. And then found it to be a chore to get it thoroughly cleaned before putting it away. Wanting to like this new design, we of course got out a few vegetables to start practicing on the next day. This device will do a very good job of slicing and dicing vegetables but, so does our old V-slicer. You would really have to go out of your way to hurt yourself while using this but again, as long as you use the safety guard the V-slicer is safe to use as well. But the new mandolin is NOT intuitive to use, it requires more effort to clean and after using it on 2 separate days, I still needed my husband to fit the pieces back together for storage. The bottom line is neither one of us liked using it and we returned it.

Perhaps you get what you pay for. This mandoline does work but it is pretty light weight and can hop around. By the time I get done and have to clean all the pieces, I'm wondering why I didn't just use a knife. It is useful for shredding, such as zucchini for zuke bread.

It does a great job, but even with all the guards in place watch your fingers.

Difficult to use, can only be used with relatively short chunks of veg and leaves a third of that uncut. Nothing like the straight forward and excellent Chef'n one I previously had (but the rubber has all perished on that now)
