Used these on the AKG K550 mk3s.The cable didn't seem to impart a different sound signature when compared to the stock cable, it felt alright, didn't like to tangle.However, especially for the price, this is INCREDIBLY noisy. Anytime the cable would contact anything solid like a zipper it would be very loud in my earcup.Honestly, I'm wishing I spent a little bit more and got a cable from CustomCans.co.uk or gotten a cheaper alternative.

I am using this Apollo silver cable with a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 1990s, there was no reversing of channels as some other customers reported.I don't know why it still surprises me, because this is the third time that I have upgraded the cable on a pair of over-ear headphones, but tonal colourations which I had assumed were caused by acoustic or mechanical properties of the headphones became fixed by changing the cable. I have never heard anything like this when changing interconnects between a Hi-Fi source and amplifier.The downside has always been an increase in microphonic noise, where rubbing or knocking the cable transmits sound into the headphone. But this Geekria cable is less susceptible to this problem than the Ablet cable I bought for my HiFiMan headphones, or the Russ Andrews cable on my Sennheisers.

Nice length compared to stock cable, sounds marginally clearer.Well made but slightly stiff. I would recommend this cable.

I love AKG headphones, I currently have three sets on the go, the K550, Q701 and K712 Pro models. I often wonder why AKG do not add cable to match the quality of the headphones, luckily, somebody else does! I bought this cable for use with the Q701 and K712 Pro headphones, I tried similar cable before and didn't notice much of a difference. This time the difference is instantly obvious, especially with High Resolution FLAC or DSD Files, everything is so much clearer - Ocean Rain (Echo & The Bunnymen) sounds hauntingly beautiful, the strings on To Wish Impossible Things (The Cure) are immaculate, the audio from both sets of headphones was already impressive, now it is immaculate. Using similar cable I could close my eyes and imagine a band in the room, now, close my eyes and it's like the band is in my head, everything sounds new, pristine - if my ears could grin, they'd be grinning now I use this cable with AKG Q710 and AKG K712 Pro headphones connected to a Sony NWWM1AB Flagship High Resolution Walkman.

After 8 months of intensive use of the cable and enjoying the excellent sound, the volume produced by the cable started to decrease. After a week there was no sound at all.The cable does not show any visible damage.An expensive cable with a short life.

i was really happy with this cable as it was a lot better sounding than the original. a cheap upgrade fully recomended.
