Ok, I LOVE this blow dryer but there are some drawbacks; although I'd buy it again and do feel it's worth the money, it's difficult when buying online and I wanted to include these in my review (I read reviews before buying anything online and personal comments weigh heavily into my purchasing decision so I wanted to be thorough). First, the dryer is HEAVY. I have medium length hair and it's very fine, so it takes me <10 minutes to thoroughly dry my hair with this dryer (probably could be more like 5 when I get coordinated and used to using it), so I don't mind the weight. But, my daughter has very long extremely think curly hair that I occasionally straighten & blow dry first. It got very very heavy and I had to do it in stages (we ended up doing it in the living room so we could watch a movie while doing it!) because my arm got so tired (takes about 20-25 minutes for her hair). But it did such a great job it was worth it. I was concerned because some of the other comments posted that the warranty wasn't valid and this was a knock-off. I opened the shipping box and was initially a little panicked because the box did not have a plastic wrapped around it (I ordered the Karmin flat iron as well and that was sealed with the plastic over the box), and also, the box was a bit warped on the bottom & the bottom of the packaging was splitting apart from the rest of the packaging. I opened up the box and everything inside looked like it was in new & unused condition (cord wrapped up & tied & in plastic etc.). I pulled out the warranty cards and immediately went online to register to product to verify the authenticity. It came with 2 warranty cards (I'm assuming one for the actual dryer, and one for the attachments), and both were valid and registered successfully. I was frustrated because the product did not come with a manual (when I checked the product description & the Karmin website, it should have come with a manual). I e-mailed the seller and they sent me a link that claimed was for the manual, but actually just linked to the Karmin website, which was really frustrating. I then just e-mailed Karmin about it and they e-mailed me a link that was supposed to be to the actual manual, but wasn't. Without explaining, for the sake of time, I'm very computer savvy and this isn't just me not being able to figure out how links work lol - they really just weren't valid. After registering the product and verifying the authenticity, I went ahead and tried it - hoping the packaging was just a fluke. I have been using it for over a month now and haven't had any issues with it. It works great & dries my hair faster and at a much lower temperature. It's reduced the frizziness of my naturally curly hair, and has reduced the time it takes me to straighten with my flat iron after I blow dry. It came with 3 nozzles, but I can't figure out how to change the nozzle that it came with already on (I'm sure that's a user error though and not a product defect, haha!). But I haven't had a need to change it so I haven't taken the time to try and figure it out (maybe if I had a manual like I should've gotten...). Anyway, it was a bumpy start, but the issues I had are not with the product itself - the product pulls it's weight, literally :-)

It is more compact that I thought, which is good and I like the heat and speed options, but it is difficult for me to handle due to weight and the on/off switch is not in a comfortable position for one handed use.

Had this hair dryer for just under a year and thought I'd write a review since it seems like one of the issues many people have with hair dryers in general is that the motor dies after a few months. Happy to report that I've had no mechanical issues with it and it is still going strong. It dries my long hair quickly and is quieter than my previous hair dryer and much, much quieter than drugstore brand dryers I've used or the hair dryers you find in hotels. I can't say I've noticed any difference in terms of frizz or shine. This hair dryer is slightly heavier than some others on the market, but not uncomfortably so and seems to be well made. I've seen some comments about the button placement. Even though from the pictures it seems like it would be easy to accidentally switch one of the buttons, I've never had an issue with it.

So this hair dryer when used on high heat emits this toxic plastic smell. It hasn't gotten any better since I first purchased it. I don't use it everyday so at first I thought it was just the "newness" of it. I emailed Amazon about it twice since the product is suooosed to have a 3 year warranty and have gotten no response. I am stuck using it on low heat only which doesn't really serve my purposes. Disappointing both in lack of response and this toxic smell...seriously I'm sure it's dangerous to breathe in! Not sure if anyone else has noticed this?

I have wavy, frizzy hair so my hair dryer is very important to me. I've owned several high-end ones over the years from various brands. This one met my expectations when it was working properly. However, my first one failed after only a year. I went through the warranty process, got a replacement, and now my second one has failed, also after a year. Since having gone through Karmin's warranty process once already, I'm not interested in having to pay return shipping again and wait out the process without a dryer, which took over a month. I don't think it's worth it to do again for a third replacement. To add to the inconvenience and disappointment of receiving a faulty appliance--twice--their customer service is very poor. There is no phone number to speak with anyone, so you have to email, often multiple times, to get any kind of response. When you do get a response, it is completely indifferent without addressing any concerns (obviously cut and pasted). I thought this hair dryer would be a wise investment, particularly due to the warranty which I never expected to have to use, but I can't recommend this product and will now be looking for something else. Truly disappointing.

The Karmin G3 hair dryer is easily the best hair dryer I have ever owned. I'm not sure how it works different from any other hair dryer, but I know that it does. It is much faster. Within 5-10 minutes, my hair will be 90% dry. It usually took 20+ minutes with my last dryer. Also, my curls are not coming out frizzy either. They curl nicely and look shiny and bouncy. Even if I air dry my curls, with a little gel, I come back and use the dryer on the curls for a minute or two... It gets out any crunchyness/stiffness and separates my curls and make them look nicer. I find I use this blow dryer a LOT more than I ever used one in the past because it works so well and doesn't make the hair frizz. I was reluctant to spend so much on a hair dryer -- especially since I previously wasn't using them nearly as much as I am now. I'm really glad I did tho. The attachments are great as well and never slip off the dryer. Love it.

The lowest setting with diffuser was too much prsssure for my curly hair.

This is a great blow dryer and love that it's low emf! It did help cut my blow drying time but only by around 20 min. However, the results are definitely better with this than my old blow dryer. I still love using this for diffusing, but to blow my hair the fastest way I now use a brush blow dryer combo.
