Barry MCosmetics Gelly Nail Paint, Ginger

I love this deep red shade, it’s very gothic without being a completely black shade. The red undertones are subtle but really shine through in the light.I’ve found with most Barry M nail polishes in this range that too many coats can make it just peel off but with proper nail prep beforehand I can usually go a week or so without chipping.

Purchased with some trepidation as I thought would be quite a thin polish but covers really well and very impressed. Great bare feet colour and lasted about 3 weeks.

So much colour choices to suit all. Good value for money and lasts along time when applied

This is the 2nd shade that I've tried in the Barry M Gelly range. This one is Pink Grapefruit. It's a really pretty shade, perfect colour for the summer and I'm really happy with the finished result.I'm not the best at painting my nails, but the flat, wide brush helps to make the job a little easier. I still had to clean up some excess afterwards, but that's just my unsteady hands. The consistency of the polish makes it easy to overload the brush though so I had to make sure I removed the excess each time before using it.Unlike the previous shade i tried which only needed one coat for a great finish, this Pink Grapefruit shade needed three coats for total 100% coverage. A bit disappointing as I'm usually pushed for time and like to get my nails done quickly. I could've left it at two coats and it would've looked ok, you really couldn't get away with one coat though. But it was definitely worth taking the time to do the extra third coat as it gave a fabulous finish.In terms of longevity, this polish lasts really well. I'm used to my polish chipping after a couple of days and I rarely get a week out of my polishes but I'm on day 6 and this one is still on my nails with just a tiny bit of wear at the very ends of a couple of nails so I'm super happy with this.I did use the Barry M All In One Basecoat, Topcoat and Nail Hardener as a base and top coat for the colour and applied a second topcoat on day 4 to try and prolong the look of my polish so that has probably helped it last.Overall I'm very impressed with this polish. Actually i think the Barry M Gelly range is fast becoming my favourite nail polish range and as it's such good value I'll be trying a few more shades in this range too.

Good quality polish that isn’t sheer

This is the longest lasting nail polish I've ever used and had a nice finish.I applied it to my fingernails in a hurry for a wedding and forgot to do a top base layer. It still lasted 5 days without chipping and even then it was barely noticeable.My toenails that did have the Barry m top base on are looking freshly done a week later.Would definitely recommend and will buying more colours.

A couple of costs of this and it's a perfect black, lasts a few days without chipping and has a lovely shine like it's wet almost.
