The 2003 Rugby World Cup Final, in full. The tension, the pain and the absolute glory... World Cup success, finally. From the first whistle to the nail bighting moments of extra time... and then that drop goal. This is the whole, extraordinary, spellbinding final as Sir Clive Woodward s heroes wrestled the Webb Ellis Cup from Australia s grasp. A massive final with two world class teams going hammer and tongs at each other. Martin Johnson, leading Dad s Army (according to the Australian media) from the front, alongside him an unstoppable English team battling for World Cup glory. Extra time ticking down, moments remaining, another pick up and drive deep in Australian territory and then, as if in slow motion, Matt Dawson delivered the perfect pass to the waiting Johnny Wilkinson. We knew we had to hang in there. I didn t want the game to go to a drop goal competition. I just wanted to win so much for the other guys. - Johnny Wilkinson (England Fly-half) The 2003 Rugby World Cup Final 10th Anniversary Edition - all the drama and the glory (featuring ITV commentary). Disc 1: The Match in full ITV commentary (first time on DVD) Original Australian commentary Disc 2: England s Story Documentary

About Time
Just thought I'd back up "BA's" review on here of this DVD as he's the only one thats left one at the moment.Been after this for years. Saw the original match at the time and regretted not taping it then. Luckily I noticed that the ESPN sports channel were showing it in full back in 2009 so recorded a copy onto disc. Unfortunately with a lot of the Sky channels the quality leaves a lot to be desired but it was better than nothing. Checked back on here last Friday (6.12.2013) to see if a DVD was available that had the full match and the original ITV commentary and it was. Ordered it dinner time and it arrived next day. Gotta say well done to Amazon for speed. Watched the game Saturday and even knowing the outcome its still edge of the seat and emotional. Shame its not on Blu-ray (maybe one day) but its a big improvement on the "ESPN" copy. If you're a rugby fan you won't be disappointed buying this...... Australians might, but not the English. Great game by both sides.

Better than the original 2003 version.
Right after the 2003WC I bought the boxed set covering the tournament, which, unfortunately contained "The Final", with the Aussie commentary. The coverage was appalling. This disc is so much better, showing more of the play, the referee's calls, with a more bearable commentary. I'm glad I finally found this.

Bought as a Xmas present for a 12 year old rugby player. Will know if he likes it after Santa has been but I am sure he will.

Watched it pretty much straight away, didn't remember it being as much of a struggle as it was
