Not as good as the original dye...
Bought to replace a 125ml tin of Colron Indian Rosewood purchased around 1996 (yes, it's lasted that long!).The original stuff went on a treat, bit into the wood very well, cleaned up nicely, and allowed me to apply finish very soon after. This new formula is very weak, and needs about 5 applications to get anywhere near the colour I was getting from the old stuff. There is almost no odour; about the only good thing I can say about the stuff I'm afraid. It would be unfair to give it a 1-star review as it does stain the wood, but really isn't as good as it should be. This purchase will be going to the next car boot sale, and I'll be buying some spirit stain to replace it, which is a great shame as the Indian Rosewood colour worked so well for most of my jobs.

Great product!
I’ve bought 2 of these and they are great for wood - leaves quite a strong odour after first applying, and takes a few days, maybe weeks, depending on how many coats you apply, but the results are fantastic. I’ve used the Deep mahogany and the Jacobean dark oak - both are super looking!!

Out of date
Used this product many times and its always great however I realised when I came to use this that it was 6 months over its sell by date and had been when I purchased it. It was still OK to use and was cheap so I wasn't too upset but if its out of date on selling this should be explicit as Danish oil can denigrate over time.

Good
Nice colour. Used to stain shotgun stock. Slightly lighter than expected but a few coats got it to where I wanted it. Oiled after and the wood looks lovely.

It did what I needed it to do.
The Light Oak covered well. even a First Coatand it was used on a Cat Scratch Pole Base.

Very easy to use
Very easy to use, have used it to stain pine and it does turn it a lovely rich oak colour, which will darken over time too, and this newer version doesn't smell at all, the old version had a very strong smell.

It's works well. Easy to apply. Smell lingers for ages
It goes a long way. This was sheen with one coat but I did it in a spare room a month ago as weather was bad and the room smelt for a month + after.
