Proteinex-18 is liquid predigested protein that has been broken down to its amino acid portions to provide patients with the highest concentration of protein in a small dose. Solution for Proteinex Taste
I've taken this product for a while now and I believe it works wonderfully. However, I see that everyone has the same view regarding the taste, that it isn't that good. Recently, a Proteinex Mix came out that gives you suggestions on how you can mix Proteinex. I got this information from a flyer posted on Proteinex's Facebook page (they constantly give updates about the product). I've tried 4/6 recipes in the Proteinex Mix and, I have to say, it does taste really good!! My favorite one is Orange' you Fruity- which contains orange juice, pineapple juice, a bit of lemon juice, and 1oz of Proteinex Orange. I make this about once a week. The blend of juices hides the Proteinex flavor but you're still getting your protein which is great. My daughters like to drink Proteinex once in a while (they're used to me drinking it!), and they really enjoy a recipe on the Proteinex Mix called Juanita's Lemondazzle (use Proteinex Lemon Lime and Crystal Light Margarita). I make it and disguise it in some fun cups and they really enjoy it. It really is a fun way to drink protein- and it hides the flavor for those of you who find it unpleasant. I suggest that, if you want to continue or want to try drinking Proteinex, download the Proteinex Mix!

Proteinx-18 Liquid Protein
I am a dialysis patient, on hemo dialysis. I was instruced by my nutritionist to start taking in protein either by powder or liquid form, in order to gain weight, and help with my wound healing. This bottle of Proteinx-18, Liquid Protein in a 16 oz bottle, Black Cherry was a product with much less potassium then the whey protein powder mix I was drinking before. It tastes ultra sweet, like cough syrup medicine, so I mix it the suggested serving size of 2 Tablespoons with 2 Tablespoons blended berries. This also cuts down on my fluid intake. There are 16 servings in each bottle. So, it should last 16 days. That would take 2 , 16 oz bottles for each month. The cost for each bottle is about $22.00, but also add in Shipping ($6.00 or so), and its almost $30 per month.This is expensive. However, it is possible i'm gaining weight, and i do notice that my minor cuts are healing much better then before. Thank you.
