HIGHLANDER Ranger Assault Boots Black Size 8 US

They have a slightly cheap feel and don't feel as solid as the surplus boots the should be replacing, but the biggest fault is the sizing. I take a US 9W normally and needed a US 8 / UK 7 to fit!

I feel I need to write an honest review on these boots, now I've had them for over a year. When I first started wearing them, the high sides did take a bit of getting used to, as I'd been wearing ankle boots for quite a while, but badly twisted my ankle with them, so decided I needed a calf type boot to prevent this from happening again. I decided on these, as they looked sturdy, and would support the ankles pretty well, I drive a Sprinter van, jumping in and out of it all day, in all weathers, I was not wrong, they have not let me down at all, I have walked miles in these boots, keep my feet dry, when I have to walk through puddles, and after a polish, look more or less like new, the laces usually are the first thing to go, but these are still original, and with some Sorbothane in them they are really comfy . The only downside to these boots are that they aren't toe-tectors, hence the 4 star rating, but for support for the ankle, which i need, they're brilliant.

Expecting a little more quality in the leather but still a nice comfy boot, hope they last a while as last boots bought lasted only 3 weeks
