KORIN: Japanese Aesthetics and Design (Japanese Art and Culture)

Highly original study of Japanese Aesthetics. Ogata Korins design genius and originality is very well analysed.

It is a book in Japanese that I hope had beautiful pictures that I wanted to see. It was a big disappointment. Photos were extremely small and blurry, very bad quality and some of them in black and white.A waste of money.

You won't find much more detailed information in English on this important Japanese artist. However, be aware that the book - more of a long pamphlet, really - suffers from low resolution, black and white printing on low quality paper (even though several images are shown in colour in the 'Look Inside' view). Look elsewhere if you want to enjoy the original artworks.
