The pictures show closing the battery cover with the power connector plugged into the virtual battery. It can't happen with the M50. The post that supplies power to the virtual battery is way too tall.This makes the adapter useless for the Canon EOS M50.UPDATE:What I didn't realize is that the rubber cover on the Battery Door of the M50 lifts up. This exposes the jack that the power connector connects to.I used it today for 1.5 hrs in a family Zoom Meeting and it worked flawlessly.I should take a star or two off for the lousy directions and pictures, however that is not what the stars are for.I am very happy with this.I will update again should things change.

Exactly what it says it is. The chord can be a little long if you are just using this in a short distance but the battery and items all feel like good quality.

I got this for a Canon M50 mirrorless camera. Works great. I didn't want to keep charging the batteries every half hour. I wanted to just plug in my camera and not worry. Does the job. The only downside is that in order for me to transfer photos to my computer the old fashioned way (with a USB cable), I have to plug this power chord in too or the camera won't power on at my computer. I could swap this battery out for the real battery. but that would be a lot of effort. So, just keep in mind you'll have to bring the camera and the power chord over to your computer every time (unless you do wireless transfer). But it does exactly what it's supposed to do - power your camera when you don't want to rely on batteries!! Works for me

It is a nice attachment when I need to take longer videos. Everything fit and worked great.

Again this model overheats my camera with in 30ish minutes of use. Easily under an hour. Seems like it will work fine for the M50 per others reviews on here but with the smaller m200 it triggers the cameras safety features and shuts it down.After some research it is a common problem with smaller mirrorless cameras and cheaper adapters like this. It literally feels like it is made out of nothing ... So other options are spending over $100 on a quality one...or try another one. This time I'm going to try a USB adapter instead of a wall one to see if that will help.Also yes the camera works fine as a webcam when I use the cameras batteries. Never overheats. Only when using this dummy battery.
