Knog Strongman U-Lock 5.15" x 7.75"

Because of marginal reviews you can get a really good lock for cheap. All you need is some grease -- I don't know who these bike owners are that aren't bright enough to figure that out, but thank you, you saved me a lot of money. The lock is obviously made so it fits tightly and doesn't wobble around, a little bike grease and you are good to go.

It is what it says it is. It is a strong lock. Couple of things. To enjoy using it more, spray some chain lube or wd-40 or something into the holes where the pieces connect. You will enjoy using the lock more. Also this lock is small. It is bigger than their other U-lock the Bouncer. I can imagine that lock being good for much more than locking your bike in your home or if you live in a very low crime area like your home then it is perfect. The Strongman is slightly bigger. It is easy to lock the frame and a pole but sometimes challenging to lock the back wheel, the frame and a pole. Especially if the pole is wider than 2in in diameter.All that said I don't worry about my bike after I throw this lock on, I do use a second lock, but this was delivered quickly, it looks 100% like the picture, it functions just like a lock should ** with the addition of a lubricant for the locking mechanism ** I recommend it if you are good with the above conditions.

Very strong and safe

Super tough lock, fer sure. Only issues I had were the incredibly small locking area (could only fit lock around frame of bike and bike rack, can't include front wheel at all - makes it necessary to bring two locks in NYC); The plastic casing around the keyhole is incredibly susceptible to breaking/cracking. Lock fell from about 2 feet and cracked the plastic quite nicely. I'd say this is a great lock for light usage in cities even though it is incredibly secure.

While slightly restricted in reach/depth, this is the easiest of locks to use. Highly recommended

go these cuz I love knog lights and thought the lock would be just as good. While it looks awesome, the lock and the bike mount have some basic design flaws. I live in Seattle and I go EVERYWHERE by bike. That means I'm hard on my gear, but what real biker isn't?the piece that keeps the strap attached to the bike broke within a few weeks for methe top silver plastic piece broke in half after a light fall to the ground (pretty common thing to happen when your locking up your bike)the lock became difficult to open after being in the rain, it has apparently rusted outcompared to a U-Lock (which lasted a year of my seattle lifestyle before breaking) this thing is a piece of junk.

This is on the more expensive side for locks, but it’s worth the investment to keep your bike safe. I really like this lock because it looks pretty sweet and it built very well. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because the mount piece doesn’t stay super snug on the bike frame. As a result, the lock can be move with a small nudge and can get in the way as you’re peddling. Other than that, this is a very solid lock and considering you get the mount piece included is another win. While I thankfully haven’t had this lock put to the test, I feel confident it will withstand any bike thief.

It is a very secure and effective lock, but go with Kryptonite. I bought two knog locks specifically because they offer free replacement keys if you lose yours. One of the locks actually came with three keys which was helpful, but the key we lost was for the lock that only came with two. When I contacted customer service at Knog it took several days for them to respond, and they they said they needed a receipt from when I bought the lock, the dealer's name and address, the date I bought the lock, etc. It is also very difficult to find a link on their site regarding who to contact. All very irritating, and no option to just pay for a new key, even though they claim they will replace it for free. As it turns out, it is quite easy to order extra keys from Kryptonite so I should have just stuck with them.

This lock is great, looks good, easy to open, and it fits my rear tire (which is a bit wide) and frame. And also, I love how the silicon coating protects the bike.

自車のクロスバイク用に購入しました。車を吊っても外れない、的なHPの堅牢な演出に惹かれ、ちょっと高いなと思いつつも購入。使った感想：KRYPTONITEのワイヤーと組み合わせた地球ロックは安心感は抜群で、走行時は自転車のフレームに付けれる点も良かったです。シリコンでカバーされているのも機能面・オシャレ面でGOOD。だがしかし！使い続けてしばらくした頃から、ロックを解除する際に抜けにくくなり、酷いときははずすのに何十分もかかる時も…。ようやく外れたロック内部を見てみると、他のレビュアーさんにもある通りサビサビです…。錆のせいなのかは不明ですが、これが外れにくい原因なのか？と思い、潤滑油や錆取りスプレーを処置しましたが、一向に改善されません。そのうち、外すときの苦労が億劫になり、結局今はABUSの簡単な折り畳みロックに乗り換えました。こちらの使い方の悪さやメンテ不足、個体差の不良があったのかもしれませんが、鍵としては高価なモノなのでもっと費用に見合う長期間使えるものであって欲しかったです。

Ce U est sympa sur le papier mais la serrure m'a donné beaucoup de mal dès sa sortie de l'emballage : clef coincée, impossibilité de verrouiller ou de déverrouiller le mécanisme, etc. J'ai parfois été bloqué de longues minutes dans la rue pour récupérer mon vélo.Le problème semble réglé depuis que j'ai huilé le mécanisme mais j'ai toujours une petite appréhension à chaque fois que je sors mes clefs...

Aesthetically very pleasing and it gives me confidence in the ghetto.
