No more screaming tumble dryer pump!! Easy to fit if you know how. It does not come with the microchip that you attach wires to so remember to keep that from your old pump.

Fitted this to a Indesit IDC8T3 and all good. Did this as the "empty the water" light was staying on even when there was no water to be emptied.My problem was the reservoir that the pump sits in was gummed up with lint/dust and mould. The float was jammed and old pump had a hard life with all that. I removed the muck and cleaned and dried this out using a mild bleach solution. Now the new unit works very well.Hint: You will need the micro switch from the old unit. Oh and it helped taking photos of the wiring. The lugs that secure the unit to the back panel are stiff and can snap, as I found when removing the old unit. So before installing, I warmed them by leaving the unit in its plastic bag in the sun (you could user a hair dryer). I also removed the dryer's side panel to help with locating the lugs gently... this also made it easy to clean up the lint/dust I couldn't reach other wise. I know my clean machine will make the new unit work efficiently and for much longer.

Part arrived and installed within 45 minutes and I’m not a tumble dryer engineer, just someone who thought they would have a go to save over £200 by fixing rather than buying a new one. Dryer now working correctly and water now filling up the wAter catcher as it should. Worth my £30 for part.

Quite easy to fit, very reasonable price, fixed tumble dryer, like new again.

Instructions easy to follow all parts easily interchangeable..Might consider mentioning that the unit does not include the micro switch …Obviously if that’s the problem this unit won’t have worked other wise all good
