Amazon Basics Camping Tent, 3-Season Dome Design with Rainfly

I got this tent specifically for car camping. I have a very pricey 3 person Mountain Hardware backpacking tent I usually use, but my husband wanted a bigger tent to camp from the car with so I got this. It’s huge. I could put 2 king sized air mattresses in this and still have space on the edges. It’s tall enough in the center for me to stand up, but I’m only 5’1”. We took this tent to Maine to camp in a very remote area. I knew we were going to have some cold rainy days and yet I didn’t pack a back up tent. Good thing I didn’t need it. It was 50 and pouring for 2 days. Our tent stayed plenty warm and dry. No leaks. No water inside the tent at all. For how massive this tent it, it’s very easy to set up and tear down even for one person. This tent performed significantly better than the Coleman and Ozark Trail tents other friends were staying in and was still easier to set up than the higher end Kelty and Easy Up tents others had. I was definitely impressed with it and I’d say I’m somewhat of a tent snob considering I am used to my Mountain Hardware and REI tents. I am certain I had the best tent in camp and also the cheapest. My friends have already ordered the same one. I read a few reviews about the zipper but I had no issues with it. I’ll report back if it breaks but it feels solid and smooth to me.

I normally use name brand backpacking gear, but bought this for a “one-time” use at the last minute before a short trip with the grandkids. I was pleasantly surprised with it. Shortly after arriving at our site it started to rain and this tent set up quickly and didn’t leak. It has plenty of room for 4 (two adults and two kids). It doesn’t have any vestibule, so boots and backpacks need to stay outside under another cover, or in the tent. There’s only one door, so midnight trips out can be disruptive. The entire top 3/4 of the tent is mesh. So even with the rain fly on it breathes well. Since I only used it once I can’t speak to the durability of the poles. The bungee cord trough the poles seems “meh”, but worked fine for its first trip. Best of all was the price. I had no problem spending the money for this tent that was the right size, quality, and weight.

Easy to put up-good quality. Only complaint is there is a flap over the zipper area on the door that gets caught in the zipper every time you use it.

We needed something cheap and durable for our first family camping trip. After a failed facebook marketplace attempt at buying a tent i was quite skeptical of anything cheap. After reading reviews i decided to take a risk and purchase this one & it did not disappoint. The set up was easy, and we were able to fit two full sized beds in the tent. We slept 5 people in a 4 person, granted one of us is a baby, and there wasn’t extra room for our stuff but just enough space to sleep comfortably! We just left suitcases in the car. The tent has taped seems which would give it extra durability during rain, although we did not have any rain on our trip. We are excited to take it out again!

This tent was a perfect last minute grab for our 4th of July Camping Trip! Bonus points because we got to test it in a variety of conditions and I feel pretty confident that this is an awesome tent! Size/weight of packed up tent is actually perfect and very easy to fit into even the most tightly packed car. Setting it up is definitely a two person job, you could probably do it with one, buuuutttt it’d be a hassle. Once setup, it was the perfect size for our family of 5 plus two large dogs, and easily fit two adult air mattresses with room for bags and places for pups to sleep. The amount of ventilation was amazing, while also ensuring that we didn’t get soaked or have any leaks when it rained on us. We even tested this with pretty decent wind and it held up great! Literally the only thing I’d change is the stakes but that’s pretty normal since most tents come with pretty basic stakes and the ground is tough here in Colorado.

Easy setup but rainfly install was not trivial. Held out light rain, no leaks. The lamp holder/shelf at the top worked well for me and pockets are in good spots. Would like it if there were two zipper pulls to make open/close quicker and help with potential zipper jam in future.

We couldn't be happier with our new tent! Setup was incredibly easy and quick, making the entire process stress-free. It's sturdy, looks great, and provides exactly the space and coverage we need. A fantastic upgrade that has made our camping much more efficient with our 3 kids! Light and durable!

Very large tent. I thought the height would be better though. I purchased this as a leisure tent for cleared site provincial park camping. I was trying to get one that you could stand up straight in for most of the area (for changing in/out of bathing suits comfortably, etc), but I'm 5'7/5'8 and could only stand up straight right in the middle and even then there is the storage pouch there in the way. Aside from that, it's a big spacious tent. Was a standard set up with two people. It rained on our trip but we had no leaks (Moosehorn, MB in July right on the beach). We use a tarp under our tents no matter what, but the ground didn't get soaked enough to tell if it would have made a difference or not. I will update the review as needed, because we only got to use it the once this passed season. We are from NWO and expect a good tent to last for years and have no issues with rain. So fingers crossed.

2023年6月、4人用の方を5900円程度で購入 購入以降、約２年で10泊以上張っているが目立った問題は無い。 「4人用」とあるが少し長方形で、山用テントで言うと５人用クラスのサイズ感。 ただし、中で大人が立てない高さなので、丘キャンパーだと人数関係なく「小さい」と感じそう。 細かい点では気になることがいくつかあるので、その辺りが許せる方にはオススメのテントです。 【まずは良い点】 安い・収納時かなりコンパクト・軽い・ベーシックなドームテントで立てやすい・ 天井にメッシュ収納＆２辺にポケット・案外キャンプ場で被らない（みんな高級なものが好き？） 肝心な防水性も悪くない →我が家ではこのテントで出かけると、なぜかほぼ100％雨に降られていて（雨男・雨女的な雨テント）、 かなりの土砂降りも数回経験しているが浸水等なし。 【気になる点】 ・シート生地がブルーシート的な生地 →収納時にゴワゴワするし設営＆収納時や設置時も風でガサガサうるさい ・出入口のファスナーが片側 →色々と不便、両端ファスナーが良かった ・ガイラインの位置がおかしい →外に引きたいのは頂点ではなく辺の真ん中（特に降雨時は手持ちのロープでここを外に引く） ・前室の軒が短い →もう少し外に出ていれば、降雨時の出入りが楽＆靴など置いておける（対策はタープ設置で軒を作る） 気になる点をいくつか書きましたが、致命的な欠点はなく「アップデートされたらいいな」程度の内容です。 5900円（現状8000円クラス？）と安いが、決して安モノではなく必要十分なテントです。

This is a great, lost cost tent. Easy to put up and spacious inside. Perfect for a first time camper! It feels sturdy and has good ventilation. The bag is a good size and easy to carry. I'm very impressed!

What can I say? Bought this for myself, my wife and toddler son to rough it in on the odd weekend and its great. Large 7'x9' base and 4' height made lots of room for us, even with a low profile king size air mattress as our bed inside, but its still cozy enough that it holds body heat well over night. The setup and dismantle is quick and simple, I do it by myself in just minutes. Slept through a couple rainy nights, never had any issue with leakage or soggy bottom. Canopy can be removed for star gazing, never had any issues with bugs getting in though I am diligent in keeping door closed at all times. The door and parallel wall have zipper screens that can be opened for windows/cooling. All in all very happy with the product and price is amazing for what you get. Never had an tears or holes formed yet. Though I do prep/rake the area before pitching.

Es nuestra primera casa de campaña y mi mamá y yo quedamos encantadas. Fácil de armar, buena calidad y si te ayuda a pasar menos frío, no diría que te tapa de todo al 100% pero con el abrigado suficiente no pasas tan mal la noche. La de 6 personas es muy amplia, hasta podrían caber 7 personas si se acomodan bien. Lo único que he notado es que no es muy estable y si se puede llegar a mover mucho cuando hay bastante viento, pero en todo lo demás es una muy buena opción calidad - precio.
