Sal Loves Pellets!
We have been feeding these pellets to him almost his whole life (2 years) and he is loving them! We feed him 2-3 days a week and he is very healthy! They are also very cheap to buy. There is some slight crummage at the bottom of the bag but that's normal. And after a couple hours take out the food that wasn't eaten to avoid it expanding. The pellets don't make the water look gross if you take them out. And don't worry if your axolotl is not eating the pellets, your axolotl just might not like these pellets. So in conclusion, you should buy these pellets for axolotls and other small amphibians. Stay smiley!

My axolotl loves these
I took in an underweight axolotl that I couldn’t get to eat any type of worms. He loves these and got back to a healthy weight! They sink quickly and don’t fall apart in the water very quickly.

Good Axolotl Meal Option
The pelts work as intended and our little guy likes them well enough. We do a mix between these and krill. Theese pellets work best if you place the pellet under the water level before you drop them for accuracy, just make sure they swallow the previous pellet before giving them another one. I would also recommend drying your fingers off after each pellet to prevent the pellets in the bag from getting wet and dissolving together.

Huge gamechanger!!
I don't remember exactly when I bought this, but I've been using it for a while now, maybe since the start of 2026, and my axolotl is visibly healthier. His colour is more solid, not showing the stress colours, his frills have started growing a bit which is amazing to see, and he moves around a lot more. He's also fatter, which is what axolotls are supposed to be! I've been trying to feed him different worms to get this effect but nothing has worked as well as these pellets (ofc I'm still feeding him the worms and shrimp). There are plenty of pellets to last at least half a year if not a full year. I'm glad to have found this when I did bc it's been a lifesaver, and I definitely will buy them again!
