Extraordinary!!! 🐀
What do I say first? Amazing! I am using this cage for my two pet rats, (which I haven’t gotten yet) and I think it’s perfect. Don’t listen to the reviews! My only suggestion is that the level and ramp it comes with, you should cover those with something because walking on these bars can hurt rats feet. I have done a TON of research on rats and I think this is perfect! Besides there are two doors in front of the cage so you can easily interact with them. You will not be disappointed!!! -Ireland age 12 #ratsrule!

Great cage for rats.
After looking at the tiny, overpriced cages at my local pet stores, I ordered this. My two lab rats now have plenty of room to run about and climb. I added a wheel on the side of the cage at the top floor.

Beware with smaller rats!
I ordered this cage after extensively searching for reasonably priced (<100$), all-metal rat cages and stumbled upon this one.The cage was very easy and simple to put together, and I originally took out the bottom wired floor because I did not want my boys to walk on it. Like others said, without the wired bottom, there is a significant space for rats to get out of the cage. However, my boys did not escape this way. Some of the wires on the cage were bent or just did not fit together very well. One of my boys got out from pushing the bottom bar of one of the doors and slipping through.Luckily my grandfather is an engineer and was able to fix the cage so that it can work for the future when the boys are a bit bigger (they are 3 months old now). But, beware to owners with smaller rats, unless you want to ziptie the hell out of your cage.Critiques:-wires are flimsy-wires do not come together at some key places (mainly corners)-not good for smaller escape artist animals-since the entire cage sets up in a large piece, you have to essentially take the entire cage apart to clean it-I wish the ramps were longer, so if the platforms were on opposite sides of the cage, the ramps could connect them (currently they only reach part of the way. I got a rope bridge to connect them that works fine)Benefits:-very large cage; perfect for my two boys-two platforms and ramps includedOverall, I would suggest another cage if you have the space and funds.I am a college student, so buying a heavy-duty cage I could not move easily was not an option. In the future I plan to have a larger cage and invest more into this effort.

The bars WILL fall off
I've had this for 2 months now, amd it seemed okay at first, my girl seemed happy in it which made me happy. Then... the bars started to fall off. Yes, fall off. Also they bend super easy. My girl ended up getting out of her cage while I was asleep and got into some stuff she shouldn't have, almost killing her. Twice. If you love your animal, I would pass on this. It's just not durable enough for small rodents.Sent seller message because the purchase "is out of the return window" will update if seller messages me back.

I used it for a temp cage for rats.
I used it for a quarantine cage for 3 rats. It's a great size for a short term cage, or for young rats. Would probably work for 2 rats if you cover the wire on the shelves.

Its an ok cage
You get what you pay for, this is the 2nd cage I bought. The first one was a bit smaller and seemed a little more sturdier. Vot I was not impressed with the gaps and how the cage didn't line up right. I was afraid my rat was going to squeeze through the gap under both doors. I had to use zip ties to close gaps all over cage. Also on the new one the levels didn't even line up with the cage they were uneven as well. I was pretty disappointed but have to use it for now. I also put fabric on the levels and on ramps to make it more comfortable.I tried contacting the company, they asked me to send pictures and for some reason I am not able to reply and send photos. Next time I will invest and spend more money to get a better cage. Its a shame these are make with such poor workmanship.
