These were a life saver. I bought a base-model truck with minimal tie-downs in the bed, thought I'd just pick up some cheap ones rather than pay dealership prices for more. I was shocked at all the crazy expensive systems, racks and bull rings out there on the market. I just need a simple hole or hook for straps to hook into, don't need rocket ship technology. Came across these and was skeptical based on the price. But they are perfect! Come with a bolt hole - just drilled holes in my bed rail and deck where I wanted these and bolted in place. They work great. I've strapped them really tight many times now and haven't had any issues - no bending, flexing, or any other issues. They hold a lot of force. To ones on the bed floor do not rattle because they lay flat. But the ones on the bed rail do tend to rattle, so I slipped some scrap wire into the hinge and bent over both ends, and that stiffened them up nicely. I feel like I cheated the man by not paying sky-high prices for hooks. Love these and highly recommend!

Very sturdy, and simple to install.I mounted these on the inside lip of my truck bed, for light tie down pointsIf you mounted these to the bed of your truck or on the railings of your trailer,you'd have a great place to hook your tie down straps.I use the heck out of these ! Bought a new Frontier with UtiliTrack and used these to create nine tie-down points for cargo. Delivered fast and seem solid and of good construction.

Installed these anchors on a Karavan 5.5x9 Pro utility trailer. These trailers have the tie down points hidden under black plastic caps on the top of the frame. On my utility trailer, there are six of these black plastic caps. Pop them out to reveal the 9/16" size bolt holes. Used 1/2" diameter by 7" long grade 8 bolts, run vertically through the top and bottom of the trailer's frame. Also, made 3" wide by 3/16" thick steel angle brackets to better support the top of the frame for heavy loads.The bolt hole on the V-ring tie down is tight. I think this is because the powder coating makes the hole a bit smaller than 1/2" diameter. My bolt thread is 1/2-20 and I was able to screw on the tie down past the threaded portion of the bolt, by hand. Then I sprayed some WD-40 onto the bolt and used my shop press to push the bolt far enough through the hole, until it could be gently tapped on with a hammer the rest of the way. No need to drill anything, as that could remove too much metal and affect the 1500 lbs working load rating of the tie down itself. It's the paint that makes it tight.I pulled one hinge apart and the ring is fully welded inside, in a continuous triangle.I haven't yet used the utility trailer with tie downs to haul my 700 lbs garden tractor, but I will update this if there is any issues.

I installed the Bakflip tonneau cover (which requires removal and repositioning of the side rails) and I installed these rings under each one of the attachment points. Easy mod! No extra tools, hardware or modifications! And I now have 10 tie down points and don’t have to mess with the clunky Toyota track tie downs unless I have to.

I recently got some kayaks and wanted some more tie-down points so I got these d-rings. They have a 1/2 inch hole so they fit perfect with the bolts that hold down the truck bed. When I backed out the bolt from the truck bed, the washer would not slide off so that I could get the d-ring on first. I found that just tapping the bolt with the washer sitting on a vice worked well to get the bolt out. I was then able to slide the d-ring on followed by the factor washer. When I went to tighten the bolt back down, there was some extra pressure when getting the washer back over the thick part at the top of the bolt but if you just keep ratcheting it down, it will slide back up to the head of the bolt. The rings have a fairly loose fit in their pivot sleeve but I have a bed mat that goes over the bed and that may be what kept them from rattling. I’m not sure if they would rattle without the mat over them. I may take the truck for a spin without the mat and if they rattle at all, I’ll try to remember to update my review. You can mount them facing forward or back and I ended up mounting them like shown in the photos because it seemed to fit best when closed/laid down they way I did them. These are rated at 1,500 lbs I think and I have no doubt they will suit my needs for strapping down kayaks and for trips to Home Depot to tie down lumber.
