Amazon Basics Blackout rollo blind with matched colour coating 96 x 150 cm, White

The reason I knocked off one star, is because it is quite fiddly to install. Although I may just have mucked it up.Once it has been installed it seems OK. They didn't have my size so the one I bought is slightly small so let's in a little light. I think if it was the correct size it would be OK and block out the sunlight.For £15 it's good value for money.I am actually a vampire by trade (Count De Ville to my friends), and spend most of my evenings spreading the undead curse. I also make unexpected appearences towards the end of Robert Rodriguez films. So as you can imagine, darkness is of paramount importance to my well being.

Measurements are 96cm but this is for the actual blind it self not for when you attach the clips to either end so this was far to big for my window.Have now cut the pole and used a bonding glue to attach it not sure if this will work waiting for it to bond right before trying to hang blind.noticed a lot of these blinds don't tell you that the measurements are for the blind only and you actually need to take into account the ends being added to the width thank God bought this cheap or I would not be a happy bunny!

This was the perfect size and was easy to assemble and install (5 minutes all up) mercifully the clips did not prevent the window from closing.

Bought this to fit my upvc front door which has a glazed top half. Took my time, and the key to getting a good fit is careful measurement. I worked out the distance between the inner surfaces of the end brackets which are glued to the door with tape, and carefully marked the required positions on the door. I would advise cleaning the area where the brackets will stick first in order to get a good purchase. By sticking the static end bracket on first, it’s then easier to fit the whole blind with the winding end bracket in one go. I did it myself, but it could have been easier with an extra pair of hands.All in all this is an excellent value item, relatively easy to fit and works really well..............highly recommended!

Ok, first, the blind itself - it is fine in terms of quality and fairly easy to put together (reminded me a lot of Kinder Egg toys actually...). It would do a grand job IF it could be mounted on my window.But...In this case, the lip of the frame prevents the window being closed (it would fit on the other side but this is the side I need to mount it on). I was aware this could be an issue but the images in the description where it refers to the brackets show a completely different set of fixings. In the images, the brackets very clearly enable the blind to hang slightly lower than the top of the window which would have been perfect. The actual brackets provided are useless to me.As for the other aspects - delivery, packaging etc. The packaging was absurd and it took an absolute age to get through the tape of the huge outer box, followed by the same palaver for the inner box. On top of this, the blind was delivered a day later than expected and I specifically needed it for that day (Amazon only informed me at 5pm on the day I was expecting it that it wouldn't arrive).Overall, a needlessly frustrating experience which was avoidable if the correct images were used on the website. If you are considering buying this blind, it will probably be fine as long as there is nothing in the way at the top of your window.

I’ve been looking for blinds like this for some time now - being a renter, it’s difficult to find screw less window coverings and this hook on blind is great. I did find it a bit tricky tightening the clips that hook over the window but did manage to do it in the end - I have funny sized windows and the 96x150 just fits - when the blind is pulled it does block out a lot of light. Only been in the window for a couple of hours so will update the review once the blind has been used for a bit longer.UPDATE - Since my last review I have purchased a 2nd blind and both have been working brilliantly since being installed - makes such a difference to the light in the evening, I can now sleep in the dark! Would definitely recommend

Have been meaning to write a review since I had my blind which I've hung on my UPVC front door to cover the window in it when I go to bed. My neighbour opposite likes to leave his hallway light on overnight sometimes and it's a bit distracting. This blind is amazing ! Blacks out the light. You need to carefully rehearse putting it up \(I did it only own) only as it needs to go up centrally and I wanted it to look tidy even in the day when it's rolled up. Adhesive fixings are fine and fit snugly onto top of door. Just can't speak any more highly - does the job and very reasonably priced !

This is very easy to install and I like the fact that there were no screws involved. I can easily remove it without damaging my rental flat. It did not sit flush on my window however, so the light peeks out from the edges so it would not provide a complete blackout unless you tape the edge to the window.
