Lucy is a lab/corgi mix, weighs about 45-48 lbs, is roughly 36" long, so I bought the large bed in grey which is a perfect size for her.Words can't express how much Lucy LOVES this bed! She sleeps in it, drags all her toys in it, watches tv in it, and has stopped jumping onto my sofas as much (which was the goal). She definitely prefers this bed to the human furniture. Lucy is turning 8 and so she now requires some additional comfort in life as she approaches her mature years, and also getting some old people issues that prevent her from jumping on and off the sofas anymore. That also means that we've gone through so many beds in the past 8 years that I've realized a few things are important to her:1) She loves pillows, so she needed a bed that had the side bolsters. I've searched and wasted money on SOO many other beds that look fluffy and end up flatting out when she tries to lay on them. I feel like I FINALLY found a bed with real filling that is actually supportive. You can see in the images that they actually hold up against her weight when she rests her head on them. I think this is the #1 reason she loves this bed so much. The arms are real pillows.2) The bed itself had to have true thickness and orthopedic quality to support her weight and back. Corgis tend to be prone to developing back issues late in life, so it's important to me that she have support to prevent these from developing. This mattress is thick and truly orthopedic. She actually prefers this bed now to other furniture and I think that this is the main reason why. She's finally comfortable in her older age. For this reason I just ordered a second one to replace the bedroom doggie bed. She'll now have one in the living room and in the bedroom. Totally worth it!3) Lucy sheds a ton and loves to chew her toys on her beds so it had to be washable and vacuum-friendly. The cover is easy to unzip and slip on and off for washing. Lucy isn't that harsh on her beds so I haven't run into the trouble that some other reviewers have. I also keep a blanket on it for her (as you can see in the pictures), which might also be protecting the cover from wearing down quickly. However, in my honest opinion, even if this cover wears out, that's still worth it to me. The covers aren't that expensive, can be purchased separately, and the bed itself is good quality so I know that it'll definitely last through the next cover. The mattress and bolsters quality is key for me. Additionally, I vacuum it almost daily and it hasn't had any wear and tear signs yet between the washing and vacuuming. I'll provide an update if that changes. I've only had it for about 4 months now, so maybe it's still too new for what others have noted?Finally, I can't speak to the waterproof issue that some others have noted in their reviews. Again, Lucy just sleeps on her beds for the most part, and doesn't ever soil them so I have no idea if it is or isn't waterproof. But, I did follow someone's advice and bought a crib mattress cover to wrap the bottom mattress in before putting it into the vinyl sleeve provided (just in case). Something to consider.In summary, Lucy and I LOVE this bed. The price was honestly a little scary for me at first but after receiving this bed I totally get why it's so pricy. It's definitely a good quality bed, and worth it. It makes her other beds look very shabby and dreadful, honestly, like they should just be tossed. Check out my other reviews to see a competitor that we tried, which was also not cheap but much poorer quality, and is now being trashed and replaced by a second one of these. Can't wait for the second one to arrive for the bedroom. I know Lucy's going to be excited.

It's the super duper dog bed. I use a queen sheet (with a color and pattern I like) over the bed so I don't worry about cleaning it. Change the sheet every week and it looks great. But my golden retriever who is six feet if standing on his hind legs. He weighs 86 lbs. He can stretch out, lie on his back, crawl in a corner.He loves it. But we could have gone with one size down.

Very well made bed. The memory foam is of quality. A bit pricey but so worth it.

I've only had this for a few weeks, but purchased it because my dog always seemed to lay on one that a friend had at her home. He loves it! Very easy to put the coverings on and there was no smell to the material as others have said.

Our bouvier lost so much weight from a medical issue - 30 pounds in a month! The poor thing was skeletal and she was so uncomfortable and could barely sleep on any surface, so I bought this bed for her and she took right to it and loves to sleep there. She has now gained weight back and this bed is her fave by far in her entire life of 10 years. It is super soft, but super supportive for her body at any weight. It was easy to assemble- I think it took less than 3 minutes. I am super sensitive to odors of off gassing and had zero issues with this bed. I have not taken cover off to clean it yet, but it is easy enough to vacuum ( I hate washing any dog bed!). It is a good size for her body.

This is the best dog bed ever! After owning this dog bed for over 1-year, I feel compelled to write a review because I appreciate everything about its design, construction and maintenance. My dogs (2 golden retrievers) choose to lounge/sleep in this bed over the other dog bed we have in our living room, so they seem to like it, too. It is easy to assemble and, after washing, to reassemble. The fabric has held up well against vacuum cleaning and, even better, through multiple washings. The memory foam cushion is encased in a sturdy pillow case that keeps it clean and makes it easy to slip into the cover. The bolster is also encased in a sturdy fabric. The zippers are sturdy, too. My family has had various dog beds throughout the 30 years we've had dogs and this bed is by far the best we've ever had.

Its his favorite go to spot now. More so than my couch now.

At first I was delighted with this product. I paid for a good quality product, I thought. However, after only three months I noticed a tear in the cover material, with another small tear appearing. I had bought an XL size for a 21kg dog. Plenty large enough. The response from the seller was that perhaps a cover should be laid over the cover. This surely defeats the object of buying a ‘good quality product’. I could buy a cheap fleece to do the same job. Very disappointed. Will not be replacing like with like.

So our new dog bed has just arrived and we are super pleased with it. As is the dog. I read the reviews and bought the extra large for my Labrador even though the description said a large. We should have bought a large. It would be ample for our lab. She easily fits in one half with room for another lab or spaniel etc. We will keep this one, see how we get on and probably buy the large for our normal dog bed place on the kitchen.We bought this bed as our lab has hip dysplasia and showed sign of soreness while on holiday. I have to say she looks so much more comfortable now. Very relaxed and we are much less worried and upset.If we had a tape measure we most probably would have got the size right. Never mind.

Was worried the XL bed wouldn’t be large enough for my 50kg mountain dog cross but I needn’t have been. He loves it & there’s enough room for my cocker spaniel to sleep with him too. I’ve never seen him sleep & snore so deeply since getting this bed & it’s helping his sore joints. It’s worth every penny.

Although a little pricey so glad we decided to buy, our spaniel has arthritis and was finding jumping up on the sofa difficult. I did wonder if the bed would be used enough to warrant the spend but she actually doesn't get out of it! Best thing I've ever bought. Is obviously comfortable, but also good quality and cover easily comes off to clean.
