Works extremely well.
I am using it along with a optical splitter for a toslink connection to add the ability to use headphones at the same time as a sound bar to a TV.It works extremely well, sound quality on the headphones is better than from the TV headphone socket. The remote control is very handy for adjusting the volume from your chair. It very nicely made with a quality feel. A usb lead is also included but not a charger so I am using a USB output on the TV for power.

Does exactly what I wanted!
I have a 54" Samsung smart TV but sadly it has no Bluetooth or headphone jack, so I bought an optical output device a few years ago during COVID and its worked a treat. It was almost perfect but the volume was manual and next to the TV. I recently got into my YouTube game walkthroughs, a couple of my favourite creators being Christopher Odd, Foster & Fisk and Eurogamer. I wanted to be able to adjust the volume. It was only when I realised there must be another version of my optical converter with a remote as I tried to find a soundbar but couldn't find a decent one that did what I wanted. After some searching I found this unit and for the money thought I would give it a go. It is perfect. The quality is solid, the power mini usb plugs into my TV and the jack output does exactly what I wanted, as I have full control of the volume. Very happy the sound quality is fantastic, I have long cable headphones.

Replacement for one with manual volume control
Good item, it has replaced one with a manual volume control. Used on a TV as cannot use the bluetooth feature on TV as I am a hearing aid user. I wanted one with the ability to adjust volume and be able to mute or turn off and this fitted the bill perfectly. Only negative is the volume control is coarse hence losing a star.

Could be perfect , might depend on your TV
Swapped my Bedroom TV for a bigger one only to discover it didn't have a headphone jack for my speakers and sub ... Toyed with the idea of getting a soundbar but couldn't justify the expense for a bedroom TV so this seemed the ideal option. And for a few hours it was ...sometimes you don't want the bass etc so you turn this box off and use the TV speaker ...easy except if you use number two on your TV remote it turns this box on ... This was ideal apart from this issue , minor but annoying ... Great box , easy to install , 5 ✨⭐🌟💫⭐ apart from the turning on from a completely separate remote ...UPDATE ... I've had this a few weeks now and it has done it's job , it's cheap enough but it is really just a stop gap not a long term solution...What I have discovered with using this for a few weeks apart from the remote control issue I initially submitted is that the volume levels are hugely spaced ... It's loud so you want to turn it down , should be easy right , nope , it then drops to almost inaudible ...how to explain ? If you imagine your normal TV remote volume controls as being 1 to 12 this is 1 to 12 but it works in multiples of 4 , 1 too quiet ? You can't have 2 or 3 next is 4 , 4 still quiet but almost ok? You can't have 5 or 6 or 7 next is 8 ...and 8 will be too loud ...

Great D/A Box With Audio Remote
We had just replaced our failed TV. The new one doesn't have a headphone socket 🫤 Previously, we had a nice pair of powered speakers to overcome the useless TV ones these days. So we now have to use the digital out socket. I already had a D/A box but couldn't control the TV volume from the TV remote. This one is the same brand but with an audio remote control. Perfect job. Good sound. No latency.

Stopped working
Ok for the price but stopped working after only 4 months, still waiting for a response from Prosor customer service despite numerous emails.

REMOTE CONTROL of an OPTICAL OUT!!!
If you used to use your TV OUT and TV remote to control volume to a Non-Remote Amplifier, most new TVs do not have the 3.5mm jack output anymore.I have an excellent Fosi Audio BT30D amp, connected to LG PASSIVE Subwoofer and Left and Right Speakers. I bought a new large LG TV, which has no headphone Jack output. So I had to adjust the volume manually (get up and adjust volume)The Fosi Audio Amp is a Bluetooth amp, so I tried with BT connection so that I could use TV remote to control volume, but the TV did not set to default setting and I had to set up every time I turned on the TVI considered buying a remote control volume assist amplified, but there are very few that drive a PASSIVE sub. This inline DAC with Toslink Fibre cable and remote is the answer to my dreams!!!Super good value for money and audio performance I was amazed at!!! I am a bit of an audiophile, so rarely impressed with performance of audio products. How the manufacturer can provide such good results at this price is amazing. The remote comes with a battery and adjust between 10 levels (so in 10 percent increments). Compared to TV levels of 50 or 100 levels, you have bigger steps in volume, but in use I have not found this as a problem at all.Sound is as good as when directly connected to the AMP, but now I have VOLUME CONTROL on an OPTICAL OUT that drives a PASSIVE SURROUND system!I cannot recommend highly enough!!!
