Excellent card for the money
Just got this card to replace my old reliable 8800GT OC. This card is amazing, particularly for the price. This card hits the same sweet spot between performance and value as the 8800GT did 3 or 4 years ago. It is VERY quiet and runs cool, even with the factory overclock. Although I've been building PCs for 10 years or so, I've never really gotten into the overclocking game, but if a graphics card has a factory overclock and a full warranty I'll choose that one every time, as long as it doesn't generate excessive noise or heat. As a modern nVidia card, this card supports all of the fun bells and whistles, such as hardware physix acceleration, 3D display options, and CUDA. CUDA support is great as many movie editing suites and video converters are now using it to greatly accelerate their rendering and keep some of the load off of your CPU.Another great plus about this card is that it is an nVidia reference design (with a moderate PNY overclock), so nVidia drivers will always work perfectly with it. The cooling system nVidia devised for this card is very effective and quiet with a single large diameter fan that can move a lot of air without generating high RPM noise. Additionally, the primary heat exhaust is out the back of the case, not into the case like some other 3rd party cooling solutions.Overall this is a great card and I highly recommend it.

Nice for the price
I installed it in about 10 minutes. The two addition power plugs don't label what they're for and the product manual doesn't help. Both the PCIe and SLI plugs fit into it, and unless you know the information on the power output of those plugs, you might have some issues. There are no schematics with it and no board diagram that identify the parts. It's completely enclosed, so blowing dust out will be a chore. It seems to perform excellently, though. No real complaints at all. At $200, it will handle anything currently out there.

Outstanding card and performance for the money!
This card replaced an ATI 4850 that shipped with my DELL XPS Studio 435 small form factor i7 core system. I needed a card that vented heat to the back vice within the small case. I also needed a card that was somewhat small in form factor in terms of length.Installation:This card fit all my requirements and was easy to install. It does indeed take over 2 slots so make sure you have enough room for the card. Once installed Windows 7 installed VGA drivers. I then executed the NVIDIA executable and installed the most recent drivers. The driver installation was flawless.Performance:I have thrown several graphic intensive games at this card and it didn't miss a beat. I'm running Mass Effect 2 at 1920x1080 with "Balanced" selected within the NVIDIA control panel. Thus, anti-aliasing and some other 3d items are on. At the start of game play the fan spins at a constant 40%...with a GPU core temp of 39deg C. After several hours the temp never exceeds 60deg C! In addition, the fan decibel level remains very low. During an intensive gaming session...I can hear the fan pick up just a little bit...but the noise level remains very low.Bottom Line:Do yourself a favor! If you want hefty performance at a small price point you can't go wrong with this card. I also had a call into PNY to register the card and they where outstanding! Register the card within 90days and you turn the card warranty into lifetime. I very happy with this card and wouldn't hesitate to recommend! Enjoy!

Great card!
Just a quick review of this card. I upgraded from a 2 1/2 old PNY 9600GT which is also a great card BTW. What I first noticed about the GTX 460 is that it was shorter than my 9600GT by 1/2" (only 8 1/2") which helped when fitting it in my case. It is also a dual slot card (width) which was not a problem fitting it in. It installed very easy and I was up and running in minutes. The first thing I noticed on starting my PC was, how quite this card is over my 9600GT, even when under load you do not hear it. I also checked the temps and the GTX 460 idle temps are about 10C lower than the 9600GT was. Under load it did not go over 62C and would quickly drop back to normal temps after going to idle again. My 9600GT would drop, but would take a while to get back to idle temps. Game play; I have only tried it with "Lord of the Rings Online" but the first thing I noticed was LOTROL updated my graphic settings to Ultra and Very high. With my 9600GT LOTROL always wanted to keep it running at Medium to high with resolution turned down. Also the color and physix were very much improved, I found myself noticing things I had never seen before. I ran some benchmarks as well (synthetic) and my performance improved by a good 40-50% over my 9600GT. I also read that you need a high powered CPU/Power supply etc, well here are my spec's (not high powered at all) and it runs very well with this;Intel Core 2 Q6600 @ 2.4ghz G0 stepping (Yes I plan to OC it!)ASUS P5Q Motherboard4GB ram Corsair XPNY XLR8 GTX 460 1024mbWin XP Pro-SP3 (Soon to be Win 7 Pro 64bit)PC power & cooling 610watt PS I am sure I will see even more performance once I OC' my Quad core. I have read to squeeze the full potential out of these "Fermi" gpu's you need to run at least a 2.8ghz Dual Core CPU but I think it does very well with what I have and I have seen a major improvement over my previous card in performance, color and PhysX. If you are still running an older GPU G92/GT200 or ATI 3000/4000 series this might be a card to check out.
