Works with LG Env Touch
When I ordered this cable, the EnV Touch phone (from Verizon) had only been out a couple of weeks, and none of the other reviewers had yet tested this cable with that phone. And as you can see from other reviews, these Mini-USB cables seem to be very finicky and *not* universally compatible, regardless of size or form factor. At the same time I got my phone, I also got a Bluetooth headset that included its own charger. The headset charger's cable ended in a connector that looked identical to the one on my phone's charger. Moreover, I was able to use the phone's charger to charge the headset. So I figured the chargers (and cable connectors) must be interchangeable. Wrong! The phone would not allow me to use the headset's charger. The voltage should have matched, and the connector fit just fine, but nevertheless the phone gave me a message about the cable being the wrong kind. That's how I learned about this compatibility mess. (I guess the headset was less finicky -- go figure.)So, bottom line, this cable *does* work with my phone. I hooked it up to my PC and everything worked fine, no error messages. While I was transferring song files, the computer's USB port charged the phone, too. Considering that this cable is at least twice as long as the one that came with the phone, and that it's very inexpensive, it is easy to give it 5 stars. Thanks to the other reviewers who had tried it with earlier EnV models. Based on the information so far, although I couldn't promise it, one might guess that this cable would work with other recent phones from LG, like the EnV 3, or the Versa. Perhaps other customers will give it a try and report here. As for EnV Touch owners, hope this helps!P.S. As of this writing, the Amazon listing has four photographs (which are accurate) and two drawings, one of which does not look correct at all. The drawing looks like yet another type of smallish USB connector, like the one I have on my digital camera -- but that's not at all the same type as the connector on my phone. This cable has a "standard" (PC-size) USB connector at one end, and a really small, phone-size connector at the other end. As noted, the photographs show the tiny connector from various angles, and they are more accurate than the funky drawing.

Perfect, but make sure that THIS is what you need
I needed one of these to connect one new camera to the computer. On this specific cable, everything is done right, including the price. It is USB 2.0 certified, meaning that it supports data transfer rates of up to 480Mbps and, if your device accepts a Micro-B plug, this is the cable to get. Maybe the 2-meter length (6+ ft.) is a little bit too much but it does not bother me a lot and there may come a time when a cable this long may come in handy.I am awarding this item 5 stars for price, quality and, especially, for the very good presentation on Amazon's page.______________________________________________Notes:Anyone in the market for a USB cable should be very careful because there are at least 6 kinds of USB connectors. If you are buying a cable that connects 'something' to your computer or laptop, the computer end of the cable will always be a USB-A or 'Type A' connector. At the other end, you may have a USB-B/Type B - a nearly square shaped connector used mostly to deliver power to a device but this is rare. Most likely, you will have a Mini-B or a Micro-B. The difference between the 2 is that the Micro-B is half as thick while the width is the same - Mini-B is 3x7mm while Micro-B is 1.5x7mm.If your device (phone, PDA, camera) is a 'new' one and it's using USB, chances are that they will need a Micro-B connector because the industry seems to be adopting the 'Micro' form factor as its standard. If the above sounds simple, you should keep in mind that some devices require Mini-AB or Micro-AB connectors, also known as USB OTG (OnTheGo) devices. My advice: before ordering any cable, make sure that you clearly understand what type of cable you need. This Amazon listing and most Cables Unlimited listings are most helpful because the Amazon page gives you a visual of what the connectors look like. Whenever in doubt, do some more research.

Designed for blackberry phones. Won't work well as an android cable.
Tried to use this cable for my galaxy nexus but it fails miserably. I just needed a micro usb cord I could use to recharge my phone at work so I wouldn't have to drag the charger everywhere. It's still a good cable in terms of quality and durability, but it really does only apply to blackberry phones. If you try and use it for other micro usb ports on android phones, you have to pull it out ever so slightly for the phone to start charging. I tried testing it on my old droid incredible and it was the same story. I didn't have a blackberry to compare it against, but I'm sure if I had one, this would be great. So if you buy this to charge your non-blackberry device, good luck.

Make sure this is the cable you need!
There are too many variations of USB connectors out there. While I knew of Mini and Micro, I did not realize that there are even more proprietary variations of USB, used by camera companies for no other reason than to overcharge ignorant customers for branded cables.Nikon is one of these companies. This cable does not work with their popular D40x. You must use the UC-E4 cable.Be absolutely sure that you are buying the correct cable for your camera. USB comes in as many flavors as Baskin-Robbins ice cream.

Cables
I ordered these cables for my Droid X phone which uses this type of cable to charge. With the first one, I noticed if I was using the phone when it was charging, the message saying it had stopped charging would pop up, and then would say it was charging again, and then not charging, etc. I fiddled with it and determined when I moved the wire just near the smaller end that plugs into the phone (between the plug and the cylinder thing on the cord) that's when it got messed up. So I figured there was a bad connection. I returned that one to Amazon and ordered a second, but it had the same problem. I thought perhaps it was my phone, but the same behavior happened when I plugged it into my husband's phone as well. We ended up buying cords from a different brand.
