There are NO problems with this blaster.
I went ahead and purchased the Quick 16 from Amazon just a few weeks ago. I needed a Nerf gun that wasn't battery powered but still held a decent number of darts to participate in the occasional after hours nerf battles at work. Let me just state that It has easily become my favorite Nerf blaster out of our collection (Just so other users know: the battles at work regularly include the use of a CS-35 Blaster, one or two Stampede types at a time, a number of Maverick pistols, and at least one Swarmfire).RANGE:Very typical for Nerf blasters. It averages anywhere between 20 to 30 feet.LOADING:Easy to do and very much unlike the majority of users here, I had no loading problems. Yes, jams still occur. However it is not at the frequent rate that it is made out to be on Amazon. However, like the other Dart Tag Nerf blasters you'll find it only works with dart tag darts (either the blue tip or the older orange tip seems to work fine, the black tipped 'whistler' darts also seem to work). When loading, make sure the dart goes all the way under the loading teeth of the integrated magazine. When using the 'rapid fire' feature (holding the trigger while pumping the handle to launch darts) maintain a consistent pace.QUICK 16 IN ACTUAL SCENARIO:I brought the Quick 16 home at one Friday to find a pair of friends waiting to ambush me with their own Nerf blasters (One was armed with the disc-firing Vortex Nitron, the other was armed with the Dart Tag Swarmfire). While I had by far less ammunition than both of the opponent players combined, the control of semi-automatic fire coupled with the deep magazine let me stay in the battle for a protracted amount of time.

There are better blasters to be had, but this one has its charm.
We take Nerf seriously at my college, so you can be confident that this unit's gotten a lot of use! I personally own the Nerf N-Strike Maverick - Colors May Vary, Nerf Dart Tag Sharp Shot, Nerf N-Strike Magstrike AS-10, Nerf N-Strike Recon CS-6 Dart Blaster, Nerf Vortex Vigilon, and this unit. On the whole, I can't really recommend the Quick 16 on any front, save maybe capacity. Maybe. But it's not a bad blaster on any front, and might be fun for some kids.PROS+ Capacity. 16 shots can last you a long time in a Nerf fight, and the clip loads easily enough from the top. What does this mean? It means that you should never run out of ammunition. Just pick up shots as you walk by and load them into the clip (but be sure to avoid orange-tipped streamline darts, as these will jam the blaster like nobody's business).+ Good clip design. There's a helpful slit cut into the side of the banana clip that gives you a quick glance at how many darts are legt in the magazine. I personally marked off a few reference points (12, 8, 4) with a sharpie, which made it even more useful.+ Decent accuracy. This blaster packs a 2.5kg spring, so there's not a whole lot of force behind it. That said, it does shoot reasonably far, and the low amount of force means the darts don't tail quite as much as a higher-weighted blaster.+ Slam fire works-- sometimes. When it works, you can spew a lot of shots from this blaster. When it doesn't, well...see the CONS section.+ Great feel to the blaster. The grip is ergonomic and the handle/trigger assembly is just right. Think of this like a pump-action shotgun and you'll do fine. Try to use this rifle-style, and, well, people will laugh at you.CONS- Jams. Words cannot express how much the Quick 16 jams up. And when it jams, it jams hard. That jam door in the blaster? Good luck clearing a fouled barrel through it. We had to develop special tools from paperclips to pry dead darts out of this blaster. Of all the blasters I own, this one kills darts the fastest-- and I don't mean a little rip here or there, I mean darts getting bent in half or having huge slashes ripped into their sides. This mainly has to do with the slam-fire mechanism and the inherent variables in loading the darts into the clip.- Slam fire will jam this blaster. Nerf even warns you that firing too quickly will likely clog your barrel with destroyed darts. If you load the clip carefully with all-new darts (which is possible, it just takes practice), you can fire at a great rate. Otherwise, you'll get two or three shots before needing cover for a few minutes to dig out the latest ruined dart.- Mediocre range. I'd estimate that this blaster gets between 20-30 feet of range at practical angles of attack (a.k.a. not 45 degrees, because that a truly unhelpful angle to fire at in a Nerf battle), weighted heavily towards the low end. So while you can (sometimes) shoot darts quickly, they won't get very near the target.- Poor iron sights. Again, this isn't a precision weapon and if you use it as such, you will be demolished by the likes of the Sharp Shot or heck, a good Maverick.- Low modding potential. There are many mods out there, yes, but it's just not as easy to get this guy open as say, the Maverick. If you work at it, you can do some cool things, but the same can be had with much better blasters with less effort. On the whole, it's a fun blaster to use, but I wouldn't recommend it to a younger child. It's just too frustrating trying to clear jams every few minutes. If you're an avid Nerfer, this might be worth a look, but there are better weapons to stock your arsenal than the Quick 16 (note: the Speedload 6 is not one of them!).

Dart Tag Jammer
This toy gun looks cool, however Nerf did not mention that they failed miserably at building a so called "Quick 16 Blaster." It is fun for the first 24 hours until you realize that it jams super easily. When you pull the front handle back, 3 out of 5 times it doesn't catch the dart in the barrel correctly. Then it won't shoot, and another dart gets smashed into the orange tube that it launches out of. Then you don't have a way of getting the dart out, and you beat the tobacco juice out of it trying to get the darts out. Then if you miraculously get the dart out, the gun begins to decline and will go down hill quite quickly. Now after 2 months or so, the gun doesn't even shoot, and if it does, it only shoots 1 out of 15 times.

problem with jamming
I had read about problems others were having with this gun, but on the Internet it's pretty much always possible to find widely held views about a product or service - usually skewed statistically in favor of people who really liked the product (or their shills) and people who really don't like the product (or their paid detractors). We don't see the normal bell shaped curve that probability law suggests we ought to see. That having been said, I bought 3 of them, because a good Nerf gun fight requires a lot of combatants. When the gun works, it's wonderful. The speed of the darts leaving the gun is right in "the sweet spot." It makes a very satisfying sound when it fires correctly. It's an excellent size and weight. But when the gun jams, it's frustrating. Sometimes it is so jammed you have to dig out the dart with a screwdriver or needle nose pliers, by which point the dart is probably headed for the trash.Overall, it's my opinion these guns really shouldn't be sold.

A great looking piece of nerf history
Very fun blaster to use. Of course since it's pre-elite performance isn't amazing, but firing it at targets is extremely fun. One big issue I had however was with the internal magazine. Mine was shipped with the ammo loaded in the magazine which compressed the spring and weakened it enough to cause several miss feeding issues when firing. The problem isn't as bad with zuru xshot darts but feeding the stock darts was very difficult. Otherwise it's a great platform to mod on for experienced modders as well as a great looking piece of nerfing history.

Bullets get stuck
Bullets keep getting stuck which is very frustrating for my son as it stops the gun working.
