Good cooler, high price.
Like the other reviewer said, these heatsink/fans were on a black Friday sale. I picked up the T40 for $20 dollars, awesome price and it fit pretty much every newer CPU socket. I was in need for a new heatsink as we all know the stock ones are cheap with the smallest fans imaginable. I plan on doing some mild overclocking in the future and decided to pick this one up because, well, it was on sale. I was eyeing the Cool Master Evo 212, but decided to go with this one which was $10 less at the time. This is a pretty easy install, but involved a lot of labor because I had my motherboard already installed. You will have to have the motherboard out to install the backing plate, but other than that the instructions were pretty straight forward and easy to follow. One thing I did notice is when I looked at the bottom of the heatsink there were a few gouges (minor but noticeable) in the heatpipes. I wasn't expecting a mirrored finish (obviously), but for $40 retail I would have expected better quality. The heatsink does come with all the hardware you will need, plus extra mounting brackets for installing an additional 120MM fan. Here is a breakdown of temperatures before and after the install. Full load was done with Prime95:AMD Phenom II X6 1045T Processor Stock 2.6 GHz - 3.2 Turbo (AM3 Socket)Stock Heatsink/Fan:24C Idle / 57C Full LoadT40 Heatsink/Fan (with Arctic 5 Thermal):13C Idle / 31C Full LoadI did purchase Arctic 5 Thermal Compound and didn't use the one that came with the fan. This thing did bring down my temps by about 10-20C, but you can get a Cool Master 212 Plus for about $15 less and it looks more like a finished product and I've seen good reviews on it. For $40, I would've expected a little higher quality, but for the price I paid I can't complain.I'd give it 4 stars. I can't say it was a bad product, but the price needs to come down if it wants to complete with the Cooler Master 212 line. Get it on sale if you can (definitely worth it then!)Note: This comes with a fan adapter to put it in "quiet" mode. I haven't had a chance to use it but its just a resistor attached to the wires.**Update**Overclocked the Phenom II x6 from 2.6GHz to 3.3GHz (Mild but descent)Idle 20C / 42C Full LoadNeedless to say, this cooler can hold its own when overclocking without being liquid cooled. So if you're willing to drop the bucks on it, you won't be disappointed.

Weirdly Satisfied
This is a great heat sink/fan for my 775 chip set up. I used a Thermaltake CL-P0114 Big Typhoon and that thing was super loud, it idled my cpu temperature at about the same as this one but I've been using it for more than 5 years and it was time to replace. This one is very silent and that's why I got it. It looks a little weird with the placement but I'm getting use to it. It's different. It was easy to install but it still takes awhile to put together though which is worth it cause it's safety secure and does not move. I'm satisfied with it and cools my computer very well. No problems here.I gave it a 4 because it does not look that amazing in my computer but who cares, I have a solid black LIAM LI case, no one will see it. haha!

Cools Great. Set up is a bitch.
This item was a great substitute for active water cooling my rig. It is actually quieter than my other computer that has an h60 in it. It stays idle at 18 degrees C on an fx 6300. Can't ask for much more. Only took a star off because setting it up was a pain in the ass.

Danger
ast night I found my heatsink wan't in place and the fan was pressed up against it and it was making a cilcking noise well I spent the night trying to get it o ff and ended up cutting all of my fingers almost to the bone trying to get the fan off because how clamped it was. so eventually I got the heatsink off and switched back to my coolermaster the nzxt heatsink is soaked in blood because I didn't notice how deep it cut till I actuully looked at why my fingers felt sore.. rateing for this product. when trying to change this heatsink there is a big issues making the bar stay still the other screw keeps popping out of place. They cliam that it works for am3+ socket but you can only install it one way and that is horizontal instead of vertical and it will interfere with the ram no matter how low profile it is.

Cooling Fan
I am very pleased with this, I have bought 2 of these and the 1st one is perfect and I loved it so much that I had to get another one for a different computer build. It was a bit difficult to screw it down but it was not something that I worried about. There is a bigger model but this one is perfect for those who need a smaller profiled heatsink, like me.

Good price to performance.
Not the flashiest or the best performing but it's cheap. Only negative is that on AMD it can't mount from front to back. I like it more than the CM Hyper 212 Evo.
