This stuff is literal magic.
Iโm not one to write reviews, but after using this litter for a few months now, I feel like I need to tell others about my experience. And sorry this is long but itโs necessary. We bought a new house in December, but couldnโt move in until New Yearโs Day, so we stayed at my parents for a couple of weeks. While staying there, we had our cats in my dads office because it was an unfamiliar house to them and we wanted to keep them contained but comfortable. The cats didnโt love this, but went with it for the two weeks we were there. Big stress #1. Then we moved into the new house. Itโs much bigger than our old one, which we thought the cats would love. 2 out of the 3 took the transition just fine. But our one cat, June (a calico of course), did not take it well AT ALL. Big Stress #2 for her. We were using the same litter that she had been using since she was a kitten, but she now refused to use it and began peeing on our new carpeted floors and pooping in the basement. My husband DID NOT care for this, especially because I was pregnant so he was the one cleaning all the messes. Everyday, all day, he was cleaning up pee and poop around our house. It was exhausting and disheartening, and with a new baby on the way, we didnโt have time for this. We took her to the vet to rule out a UTI or any other health issues, but she was fit as a fiddle. We bought more litterboxes. We put litterboxes on every floor, in super inconvenient spots for us but in hopes that she would be pleased and use them. Nope. We bought pheromone sprays. We bought more toys, beds, and cat trees. We put tin foil down on the carpets where she liked to go and used special cleaners made for cat pee to eliminate the smell. We did everything we could think of to try and make it stop, to no avail. Four months in to this nightmare and we were at our wits end. I cried all the time, stressed by the notion that this may never get better and she may never be comfortable in our home again. It was stressful, and gross, and we had a toddler and newborn. It was too much. Then, as a last ditch effort, I found this litter. It was my last hope - my Obi Wan Kenobi, if you will. But the reviews were promising and I would try anything at this point. We tried one litterbox to start out. Within minutes, all 3 cats had surrounded the box and were taking turns using it. Even June. The next day, it was completely full and our other old litterboxes were untouched. So we swapped another box for this litter. Same thing. They loved it. Couldnโt get enough of it. I donโt know what is in it or what actually attracts them, but it was working and I didnโt care how. Fast forward to now, a few months into using the Cat Attract litter. 4 out of our 5 boxes are now this litter, and the 5th box never gets used. Iโm about to switch that one and make this new magic litter our brand loyal choice. I truly donโt know what I would have done if we hadnโt found it, but Iโm so thankful that this worked. June is much happier now, we are much happier not having to constantly clean pee off our living room floor, and everyone is living in harmony. The only con is that it is pretty dusty right out of the bag, so I suggest taking it outside when transferring it into a separate container just to spare your lungs from the dust. But other than that, I could not recommend this more. If youโre on the fence, just try it. Itโs pricey but man is it worth it.

Worked great for my kitty!
Well I've been using this stuff for about 3 months now, so I think I can give my honest feedback. This definitely isn't the the magic solution for everyone. Each cat is different & it really depends why they're having trouble with the litter box. For my kitty Mae, who has struggled with peeing outside the box due to separation anxiety, it's been an absolute miracle cure! I've had many cats over the years, including a bengal who spent 15 long years practically attached to my hip. However Miss Mae takes the cake for the most anxiety I've ever seen in a cat when left alone. Tbh she's more like a dog trapped in a cat's body! We found her late one night a little over a year ago, when she jumped out of a garbage bin, screamed at us, tried to follow us & then demanded that I carry her all the way back home. Impromptu pet adoptions are my favorite kind lol. Mae absolutely hates being alone & will scream, tear down curtains, knock fragile things off the shelves, yank cupboards & drawers open... Worst of all she pees outside the litter box. She doesn't spray or mark, but fully releases her entire bladder in certain places. Her spots of choice tend to be incredibly hard to clean up too. We had to replace our futon mattress not once but TWICE due to urine seeping too far into fabric. Just in case you don't already know, cat urine is one of the hardest odors to eliminate. It contains ammonia & certain bacteria which are responsible for that strong bleach-like smell that stings your eyes & nose. The only way to get rid of it is with professional enzymatic cleaners that break down the ammonia & kill the bacteria, changing the chemical structure of the urine so it no longer smells. So if you have a cat that sprays or doesn't use the litter box, it's a real nightmare. After multiple vet appointments proving Mae was otherwise healthy, our vet recommended we try this Cat Attract litter to encourage her to use the box. This behavior would only occur when we (myself & fiancรฉ) both left her alone in the apartment - sometimes just 5 minutes was enough to do it - so I thought for sure it was too late for litter box attractant to work, but I gave it a shot since the only remaining option was to medicate her anxiety &/or sedate her whenever we left the apartment. As soon as I got my first bag, I replaced half of her old litter with the Cat Attract, just to let her get used it. Every time I changed the litter or scooped some out, I just added more of the Cat Attract until eventually she was fully switched over. It took about 2 weeks total. This is the method I've always used since I've found most kitties dislike if you change things too fast, like brands of food or litter, & they can react poorly. Well ever since that day she hasn't peed outside the litter box a single time! Not a single "accident" for 3 whole months! I even stopped covering up my futon with a big plastic tarp when I leave the apartment bc I can finally trust her again :) I'm going to keep using this for sure! However I think eventually I could just use 50/50 with another cheaper brand. The special odor of the Cat Attract is the important part, so as long as Mae can smell it, I'm assuming it should work. My advice for anyone looking to try this stuff out is to do the same thing, at least until your kitty gets used to it. In summary this worked to completely eliminate my cat's problematic peeing! It's pretty affordable (comparable to other popular brands) has very little dust which is always a bonus, is very easy to scoop & all around a good experience! Note: If your cat ever starts having trouble concerning the litter box, such peeing in inappropriate places, your FIRST step should be a vet appointment! It almost always indicates a health problem! Peeing right outside the box, or nearby in the same room, is the number one symptom of UTIs in cats!

Our Go-To Litter for a Multi-Cat Home! ๐ฑ
I had heard so many good things about Dr. Elseyโs Cat Attract litter that we decided to give it a try, and it has become the litter weโve been using in our house. With multiple cats, finding a litter that works well for everyone is important. I like that this one clumps well, which makes keeping the boxes clean much easier, and I especially liked the idea of the Cat Attract formula encouraging cats to use the litter box. So far, weโve been happy with it and have continued purchasing it. When you have several cats and find a litter that works for your household, you donโt mess with a good thing! ๐๐ฑ

SO FAR, so good. Pretty darned good litter
So we had much of the same issues many describe here, found out about this litter on some blog and forums postings after researching our issue, cat peeing n many spots and not using the box, where her sister was doing nothing of the sort. We had almost kicked her out of the house to the porch, though our house is 2 cats and 2 dogs and all are part of our pack. Everyone else was feeling the problem. Got my lady and I arguing a small bit about how to deal with the issue. I had researched outdoor pet huts, and heated bowls, this is, right in our area, when the cold was hitting hard and we felt sorry for her, but she had resorted to peeing allover the dog beds which are a beast to clean, a heavy shag carpet we had to take outside, use 6 pairs of vice grips and clamp it to a fence, saturate it and clean with lots of detergent and urine neutralizer, and wait 4 days for it to dry outside... and more. Thankfully it was the places we COULD clean successfully. I had read about it, 14 minutes before our area petsmart was closing (only place around here that has it) closing and was desperate. Hopped up, and out got in the truck and headed to get some of this litter promised to make a difference. Realized they might not HAVE it in stock. Called and they didn't have any. Came back home disappointed, yet determined to get some. The next day at work, talked with a friend who also had the same issue and talked her into trying it at the same time. She grabbed some on her way home, as we picked some up at petsmart. At present amazon price, 8 dollars more expensive there, but we needed something immediately. We both chatted via FB about noticing it working immediately. Blown away. Since then I have ordered it a few times via amazon, one time it was WAY too clumpy. Like gooey when urine hit it. Thus, my 4 instead of 5 star review. Maybe a fluke, maybe not... nevertheless, it has, from what we've noticed had some inconsistent quality. BUT it HAS so far, solved or at least alleviated our issue. It clumps hard, it is heavy. It is not AS dusty. It is NOT scented. Like at all. It does NOT track around the house, as much. As long as you keep it clean and follow the directions (use a new box today, and every few weeks at least, DO clean your cat box, people).. it will work. Get the attractant here on amazon as well, use a small bit of that each time or every other time you add litter. KEEP YOUR CATBOX CLEAN. We have had one period of regression. We took her to the vet and they found no severe issues in this 14 year old cat. They DID find a few white blood cells in her urine, so they put her on clavamox which we are just finishing. We notice her howling like meows sometimes and THAT is the time it is time to get up and help her get to the box. We purchased Moist Pounce in a plastic container, and use it to reward her when and only when she uses the box. Treats are better with cats, used as training aids... and cats really respond to positive reinforcement. They don't respond not matter what you believe, to scolding: their minds are something people will never really truly understand, but negative reinforcement does not work. so go with the positive. Pay her more attention. Use a brush and pet her more. ON a regular basis. And take her to a vet, people. I know, an expenditure... but get her some help if you can. And give this a try. It COULD be what keeps you from disowning your cat, or being so mad at the friend you love that you nearly go out of your mind. Good luck and post questions, if I can answer them I will.

Worth it
I will never use another litter, pair this with an automatic litter box? No smell if you stay on emptying the tray every couple of days. I moved back in with my dad a coupke months back. He also has a cat who notoriously poops outside of his litter box and on his bedding if his box isnt spotless, not just unused but the box actually scrubbed. I switched him to this litter? And he is fine for 2 or 3 uses until he reverts to his old ways. Hes 18 and I havent yet found an automatic litter box he can get into with his arthritis. But I ALWAYS and will always recommend this litter, not just because of the attract but its the only litter brand I have ever found that delivers on the contained smell, and is not scented as I cant stand scented cat litter (it increases the smell of cat pee for me, its like someone putting on perfume after not bathing for two weeks, you smell worse not better) definitely worth paying for, especially if you use an automatic litter box as that cuts down on waste (also worth the investment)

Best Litter EVER!
I have been using this litter for about 5 years now and I will never use anything else. I have two cats, and when I got the second one, my older one did what cats do when they are jealous/spiteful and started spraying around the house. A friend of mine recommended this litter, and it not only solved the spraying problem, but I don't think I have smelled litter odor since! This litter saved my house and my nose! Highly recommend!

Did the cat attract formula change?
Cat AtTrack used to work for my other cats in the past. I used to foster kittens and mama cat. All used the litter box except one. Cat Attract worked great for training the one! That was 2 1/2 years ago. Did the formula change? It isnโt working with my female cat now. She only uses it if I keep her locked in the bathroom. I let her out this morning and praised her for using the box. A few hours later, I noticed cat urine on my couch (no cushions, as they were off). I had it covered with a thick vinyl cover after I cleaned it with an enzymatic cleaner and apple cider vinegar. I also threw orange peels on the couch. So back in the bathroom she went! I added catnip to the cat attract litter. (It was clean). I donโt know how to keep her focused on using it and not the couch. For the record, I have two cats and three litter boxes. For a year she used the upstairs litter box without fail. But 2 weeks ago my other cat attacked her while she was using it. That one uses the 2 downstairs. So I know sheโs traumatized. Hopefully she will use the cat attract soon without being locked in the bathroom.

Amazing!
This litter is amazing! I got two kittens and itโs been a month and one of the kittens is not reliably seeking out his litter box and Iโve been having the hardest time with him, having to keep an eye on him constantly to make sure he doesnโt pee on the couch or anything. I got this litter put it in the box and now heโs seeking the box out. He loves pawing around in there and my other kitten loves it too, they even play in the box now lol. This stuff works, so amazing and now I trust him to not pee anywhere else. Such a relief! If your cat is having litterbox issues definitely try this!

I cried with happiness
This product saved me. Our 17 year old cat was not using the litter tray at all, we couldn't cope as due to her liver issues she was having very soft bowel movements - at 3-5am of course - she lives in our bedroom (due to age). After 2 tough years, she is using her tray 90% of the time. It's made a huge impact on our lives, as we were up every night scrubbing the carpets. This product WORKS. I literally don't right reviews but want to scream it from the rooftops about this product. We use a 50/50 mix with her regular clumping litter too, so i think we'll get a fair bit of time from the bag.

Price Hike
Used to be SGD$51.05 a 40 pound bag, now itโs $234??

Why did price more than double?? It states not for profit. I call bull on that one.
My cats lived it and it was a good price. The best part was the almost non existent dust. Now with four cats, I cannot afford it. My cats had to go back to the bargain brands. My newest kitty loves jumping into the litter box as I poured new litter in and I didn't mind that with this litter. Now I close the door until the dust settles. I love my cats and they do get the best care with multiple cats...

Is a Perfect solution. 11/10. Life changing
I recently got a kitten and she has been a complete nightmare; sheโs been pooping and peering everywhere. I took her to the vet and she was completely fine, but just was taken a little early (was not aware of this before I got her). Anyways, I tried calming defusers, having her watch my older cat, and rewarding when she did use the litter box but nothing would work. Until I discovered this. It worked instantly. And I mean instantly. It works so well that even my older cat likes to use this litter LOL. 11/10. The only con is that it is difficult to scoop and hardens really quickly. But I donโt even mind because at least Iโm not cleaning poop and pee of the ground everyday. ๐๐๐๐
