Tiny quiet fridge
I'm looking for 2 things in a fridge, that it's large enough to fit a couple of cans of whatever to drink & that it is quiet. While this isn't silent, it's the quietest mini fridge I've tested yet. I originally bought a Frigidaire mini fridge that fit 15 cans, but that was so loud that I couldn't keep it in my office. This one is much quieter and it fits 6 12 oz cans. I read a few reviews that say it only fits 4 or 5, but those people are laying all the cans down on their side. To fit 5, you stand 4 of them up, and put the other two on their side on the shelf. The only other downside, aside from the noise (which is still the quietest I've found) is that the 6 is a pretty tight fit. They could have made the fridge another mm or 2 wider and it would be a lot easier to pull cans out. As it is, they are pushed into each other & the wall, which makes them a little hard to pull out. But, to me, that's a small thing & this fridge is still very much worth it.

emergency insulin storage
i got this mini fridge to protect my insulin during extended power outages. i live in a storm and hurricane prone area and lose power several times a year, sometimes for more than a day, occasionally for multiple days to a week. i am also a type 1 diabetic who needs to keep up to a 90 day supply of insulin at fridge temps no matter what. after having to drive thousands of dollars worth of insulin across town in a hurricane to a friend's fridge, i have been seeking options. i have tried coolers and ice packs and a big koolatron thermoelectric cooler. the koolatron works for the most part but takes ages to come to temp and sucks a LOT of power.this fridge so far has exceeded my expectations! i got the USB-C compatible model specifically so i can use it with standard power banks if i have to switch between backup power sources.pros:got down to 35 degrees F and stayed within 35-45 degrees inside a 68 degree house.holds 22 vials of insulin in their boxes. more if i unbox them.ran for about 40 hours on a jackery 300 power supply via USB-Cran for about 12 hours on a 40000mAh pocket sized powerbank via USB-Ccons:the body of the fridge is not well insulated and when unplugged comes back to room temp in about 10 minutes.even plugged in it would be warmer than ideal insulin storage temps in hotter ambient temps.in a true emergency, if i keep it plugged in to my backup power supply and possibly supplement with an ice pack, i would trust this to keep my insulin colder and more stable than just a cooler with ice packs.it would not be good for daily regular storage of insulin, emergency only, last resort

Cold and Quiet
I have had this for over a month now. It purrs along quetly right next to my lounge chair. It is very cold. I keep a paper towel in the bottom to catch any small amount of condensation. I highly recommend this cooler.

Good in a controlled cool environment, otherwise, just Soso
So I tried this mini fridge out in a couple different areas. First in my garage for a week, then a week inside the house. This rating is only for cooling effect since I haven’t tried using it as a warmer.First outside. when I initially received this product, it was about a week into September. so the temperature range anywhere from the low low 50s, to the low low 90s. after having some hamburgers delivered from a fast food chain, I placed a couple in the fridge on two different occasions and left them overnight to see what happened. each morning after I would come out in the coolest part of the day. The burgers were barely cold enough for me to feel comfortable eating them. now I never got sick, so the fridge must have done an adequate job. I will say that it always felt cold on the outside, but not that much so on the inside.Inside. The inside of my home is generally kept around 68° at the warmest with the aid of air conditioning. once again, the outside of the unit felt fairly cold, this time however, the inside was noticeably cooler. for this test I purchased some rice, bean, and cheese burritos from two different fast food establishments. my results were much better this time around. after an hour or so tops, these burritos were cold enough that I knew there would be no issue with their consumption. In my opinion, if you are going to use this fridge in a somewhat cool controlled environment, then it will most likely be acceptable. Otherwise I don’t know if I would count on it.

THIS IS MY 3RD PURCHASE
SOOO..... I'm giving it 5 stars because: a) The price is right. b) Perfect small size I need. c) Keeps it very cold. Here's the bad news......I bought this same refer in 2018, 2021, and again, just now. So they last about 3 years and then they don't keep things cold anymore. When that happens, I buy a new one. To some people, they might think it should last a lot longer, and I think that too........but.........for the very reasonable cost, that works out to about $1 per month to own this and I think that's OK. One of my previous ones stopped working correctly after about 6 months, but they stood behind the product and sent me a free replacement. I'll stick with the 5 stars.
