Columbia Men's Gunnison Plus Leather Omni-Heat Hiking Shoe

Expected these to be somewhat waterproof, but my feet get wet walking in 1-inch of snow. Not even walking through deep snow, simply from the snow gets kicked onto the toe and sides of the shoe.Update: It also leaks from the sides of the boot as well. Again, this is not from walking through deep snow/slush or puddles. It's simply from light powdery snow that gets kicked up onto the boot while walking through LESS THAN 1" of SNOW....Absolute garbage.

I normally wear an 11 in pretty much any type of shoe, so first ordered the 11 regular. These were really snug in the forefoot area, so much so that it was really uncomfortable. Exchanged them for the 11 wide which were a bit too loose in the forefoot area but that is easily remedied with a thick pair of socks. Bought these for a winter trip to Maine & they did not disappoint. Took about a day to break in & get used to the boot being above the ankle. Leaving the top hole unlaced also helped. Spent hours walking & hiking in low 20 degree temps & windchills in the single digits over 5 days. Feet stayed nice & warm without sweating. Would definitely recommend if you spend any significant amount of time outside in the cold/snow.

They look nice and are rated for below 0 but buyer beware. I shoveled my walk with 2 inches of snow at 15 degrees. I wore two pair of socks and was outside about 10 minutes. And my feet froze. Upon taking them off they are nice and warm around the ankle but like an ice cube at the foot area.

arrived on time, and packaged nicely. sizes for me vary by brand, amazon recommended a 13 and the fit was perfect. My goal for these boots were to find a nice affordable pair of boots that were waterproof, KEY word WATERPROOF, witch these claim to be, but are not. I have purchased boots like this before from Cabelas and they were water proof up to the 4th lace loop. First creek crossing i found, water was up to the first lace loop and water started to soak my sock. super bummed but the fit nice and are comfortable otherwise. glad these were not anymore expensice then they are.

I purchased several pairs of winter boots VIA Amazon's Prime Wardrobe to take onto a trip up in the Swiss alps and I just chose to opt to go with a different pair of boots. There was nothing wrong with these, I just took other factors into consideration such as price, fit with my socks, and length of the boot up my leg. These boots I believe would have done their job as needed in the snow!

Th boots are very comfortable and easily lace up. This model has regular eyelets. Stay away from the boots by Columbia with fabric eyelets as they wear out in about 6 months and break. The boots are very warm, even when stomping through mud and ice, and protect against water intrusion at least up to the first two eyelets where I have had ice water up to. The boots are not really heavy, and they grip the trail well. Good boots. AD2

This boot is great! I saw a few reviews make note of its inability to repel water. I very much disagree. I wear these at times with snow and large puddles. It resists and repels pretty well!Great fit, materials are top notch, and the boots look really cool too. Feet got kinda sweaty in Tampa, FL summer. But that's kind of expected...

These boots are nice and warm. In 20 degree temps there is no clod seeping in. Very comfortable and light as a feather.They're lighter in weight than sneakers.I haven't tested them in the wet yet.The ONLY complaint I have is the boot cuts into my shin a little.It left a blood bruise., but maybe they just need broken in more.

We bought two different designs from Columbia and the other one is great and true to size, this one on the other hand, a little small. That's why I returned them.

This boot is a very cool boot. Excellent quality, I loved it. It really keeps your feet warmed.
