These cages are longer than they are tall once set up, and that is far better than a tall, narrower cage for a budgie. Budgies like to fly side to side, not up and down like some sort of winged zebedee. They are only light weight cages, I seriously would not recommend then for stronger birds as the bars are quite thin and bend easily, but they will withstand a little budgie beak, or similar sized bird with a small beak. They are a good size for one or two budgies, and far superior to a lot of the hideous torture chambers sold as budgie cages! They come flat packed and are very easy to erect, but you really must check the little 'hinges' where the doors and food doors are attached, they need squeezing in a little with pliers to avoid leaving a sharp point that could cause harm to the little birds. The guillotine style door needs to be secured with a clip when open for the sake of safety, and I would also advise securing the food doors and the main door with clips when closed. One of my budgies took about ten minutes to work out how to push the doors up and let himself out.Absolutely NOT suitable for a budgie/small bird to be confined in permanently, the only 'cage' in my opinion suitable for that is a large aviary.Bar spacing is suitable for a budgie, and the cages do allow a decent sized living space. For the money, all in all, I don't think you would get much better.

These cages are perfect for my breeding canaries . Plent of width allowing them plenty of flying space Very suitable for single pair of canaries.

Bought these cages come 4 cages very good and easy to put together.Got mine stack up.Just have to mke sure you have them on solid surface.The price is good aswell.
