Nintendo Mario Kart 8 IR Wall Climbers, Yoshi

I got my 2 year old son this for Christmas and felt compelled to write this review due to the other (in my opinion) extra-whiny reviews about it that I feel are excessive.First off: The fact that this moves on the floor for the price it is at is in itself worth the price. It is well-made, lightweight, sturdy (it has fallen in "anti-grav" mode hundreds of times without breaking) and very sensitive to the wheel with mere double A battery power.The anti grav is extremely cool. Does it work flawlessly? Nope. Did you have something like this when you were a kid? Didn't think so. If you don't put it on a clean smooth surface with a full charge it will fall. Sometimes it falls anyway. Is it cool as all get out? You bet. My kid loves it. That's what really matters.

Decent little Super Mario themed R/C car. Performs well on the floor, but does not perform well on the wall. I got 2 different kinds (Luigi and Yoshi) and both had the same wall climbing problem. The "vacuum" effect that is supposed to keep it on the wall is just not strong enough to do so. They fall off when on the ceiling and/or middle of the wall, however they do hold pretty well to the bottom of the wall or the baseboards. All in all, though they are pretty nice, just not good "wall climbers".

I had high hopes for this toy, but it falls (literally) short. It works great on the wall for the first minute or so and then quickly loses momentum enough to stay put. It will not stay on the ceiling at all. My boys still love it, but I would not purchase this if I had to do it all again.

I bought this as a gift for my nephew for Christmas a couple years ago. I still remember him, and the adults trying to play with it. It is loud, and didn't even work half the time.

Awesome product with short battery when used on the walls and ceiling. We where aware of this when we bought though.

My 4 year old grandson loves this toy and it works very well.

Overall it works well. It is hard to control on the walls and doesn't run on anything other than a very very flat surface. Still great though and very creative.

It's adorable, though the vacuum is loud when you put it on a wall which is understandable. You have to pick it up and place it onto the wall though in order to get it to stick as opposed to it climbing onto the wall. I quite like it though, and my dogs have fun chasing it around the house too. It comes with instructions on how to use it, so you place 4x AA batteries inside of the controller, and then you have to take the little charger wire out of the drawer at the bottom and charge Yoshi up for 30 minutes. Once charged, its little light begins to flash indicating that you can unplug it and begin your fun. I would recommend this to friends, as it is incredibly fun.

This was bought as a Christmas present for my son who loved it. He had it climbing walls all day. It does fall off quite often but he showed it to everyone. Nice novelty toy!

I'm using cheap batteries so it only lasted 10-15 mins until needed charged. I found it hard to keep it straight going forward, but that adds to fun factor. Not 5 stars coz it is a bit noisy for its size.

clever thing - my grandson thought it was brilliant! Quite right about the durability- if it starts loosing battery power it can drop off but no breakages yet! Lovely gift for our 7 year old
