Nice simple 5v LED lights, not hugely bright but otherwise great
I have a bunch of smart LED lights around the house of various brands. I'm using a small section of this WowLED for a small section of kitchen under counter. I wanted a nice small 5v control unit to run off USB which is what this is. The MagicHome app seemed fine, easy to add the device. Then enabled the same Skill in Alexa and the new light was available within Alexa to all my existing smart home routines. No trouble at all. Smart control is quick and easy. Brightness is never as good with 5v LEDs over 12v but its fine. LED colours across different LED brands are never the same so in this case Alexa sets my others to 'Daylight White' and this one to 'Salmon' to get a similar colour, but its close enough. If you just want red/blue/green then obviously it will be the same. For the price, absolutely no complaints.

Better Than Most.... But There Is No Way You Will Get Stuck With Them...
These WowLED LED Light Strips are better than most that cost a lot more money and the fact that they work on WiFi instead of Bluetooth and you do not need a Power Brick to operate them certainly ticked all the right boxes personally for me. They are simple enough to assemble and connect to your Wireless Router and no LED Light Strip in reality should require a Power Brick to power them and it's nothing more than a pile of Clutter going down that road with them. USB power is the more smarter and practical way and it simply plugs into the back of your TV.Being WiFi the WowLED LED Light Strip also has the ability to be controlled from other smart devices such as Alexa and via an app on your Smart Phone. Both the Magic Hue and Pro apps give enough control to suit your taste and mood and overall everything about these WowLED LED Light Strips work Flawlessly and would of easily have merited 5 Stars apart from one thing. There is just no way you will ever stick them to the back of your TV unless you use Super Glue that is :)))))).I brought these before my new TV arrived and when it did I stuck them to the back of the TV and all looked fine. But after just a few hours they soon came unstuck and were left hanging and dangling down all over the place. I spent a further 5 quid on Double Sided Tape and the same thing happened. I have come to the conclusion that there is no Double Sided Tape on this planet that will ever keep any LED Light Strip stuck to the back of your TV. All TV's heat up and any tape will soon become unstuck. In the end I simply threw them in the bin and decided to give up completely on ambient lighting simply because all those who design them have not come up with a solution to be able to stick the damn things to your TV. They are a waste of money until they go back to the drawing board and come up with a solution. The only solution I think will ever work is Super Glue. But I do not want to be putting that on the back of a new TV.Update...As I mentioned in my review the WOWLED Light Strip did tick all the right boxes apart from how it was possible to stick them to the TV. I had a bit of an hindsight whilst glancing at a picture that I had recently took down whilst decorating. I suddenly remembered that I stuck the picture up with Command Strips which are very strong and I retrieved my LED's from the bin and brought some of of those and Hey Presto! they did the job.In the end I spent just as much money on tape as I did on these Light Strips but it was worth it and I am now well pleased with them. That much that despite the extra expense I still gave them 5 Stars.

Ok lights ,Rubbish WiFi and App control
The GoodThe Led tape comes as 4 separate pieces, with 3 link cables and a small WiFi controller and Bluetooth remote. you will need an old usb charge ( I’m using a iPhone one), as it doesn’t come with one.Installing is easy and you probably won’t need to use the manual as it’s very straightforward.Bluetooth control is easy and the controller has the usual in built colour and pattern options and is simple to control.Led strip seemed to stick well to the back of tv , but over the week it has started peeling off where the cables link. The BadNow you are probably looking at this to use over WiFi with Alexa control. Here’s where it goes down hill. You need to download the Mahic Home App from your respective App Store ( I’m using An IPhone 8).The App has a low score on Apple App Store with not many good reviews. That’s because it’s pretty poor, you start the pairing process by switching the power off and on 3 times until the led strobe, you then look for the WiFi name of the light and connect directly to it, or in principle that’s what you do, my phone connected fine but the app then couldn’t see it, after 3 attempts at resetting the leds (on off 3 times) the phone connected and the app found the units broadcast WiFi name and connected, you then have to upload your WiFi router password and network name and you are given a chance to re name ( I went for tv lights).Great the unit app could see it and control the less . For about 5 minutes, I went down stairs with the phone and when I came back the app couldn’t connect to the strips even though they were still cycling through the pattern set on the app, close the app and reopen , nothing , turn off WiFi on phone and back on , nothing.Back to step one with the switching on and off 3 times, find the led strip net work, rename device and gain control, this time I went to the Alexa app and linked the magic home app to Alexa with the Alexa skill. Voice control worked and I could control with Alexa.Until I left the room with the phone. And that’s been it , intermittent control over a week using Alexa , barely any control from the app with either Alexa saying “Tv lights isn’t responding at the moment or the app just not finding the lights. Switch the lights on and off at the socket and it works for a bit, if I wanted to turn the lights on and off with a physical switch I wouldn’t have bought these.I have set up multiple WiFi led strips before and have a excellent set that work every time on Alexa in another room.I have a full TP Link mesh WIFI network so it can’t be bad signal as the TV it is stuck to streams 4K movies perfectly well.Wish I had spent more money and bought a better set rather than opting for cheap thinking it would be fine as only going on a tv.
