I use these with my maxpedition versipacks. Easy to put on and super sturdy.Here's why its better than other add-on MOLLE water bottle holders.1. Comes with built in MOLLE "sticks". No need to buy others and no need to find sticks of the right length and tools to weave under straps. Very easy to install and remove if needed.2. Quick release buckle and velcro closure. Others have zippers, and zippers are annoying for quick access to your water bottle. Drawstrings drop bottles when turned upside down. The buckle on this keeps it locked and opens quick. And velcro keeps the flap closed when not buckled.3. More MOLLE straps for accessories. You can attach smaller MOLLE accessories to the outside of the case. Others are just smooth and don't give you this option.

I purchased a 5.11 H20 Carrier in 02/2014 thru Amazon.com and was greatly impressed. After a repurchasing two Carriers thru Amazon.com this week (06/2017), I find significant changes.Firstly, the nylon case shipped is of a thinner material than before. The 5.11 website advertises the carrier as "N500D" nylon. Amazon's page states this product as "1D" nylon. The new Carrier's cardboard attachment seemed legit and stating the product to be "500D nylon." It does carries the 5.11 logo, but there is clearly a loss in the quality of the nylon in these new carriers.Secondly, the molle-snaps on the slide-sticks for the original closed flush onto the bottom edge of the Carrier and were solid buttons. Now the molle-slidesticks are to be attached to "flaps" on the bottom edge of the Carrier rather than directly to the nylon. It is NOT POSSIBLE to mount the Carrier without the tops of the sticks protruding . . . unless you bend the slide-sticks over at their bottoms (even in the packaging the slide-sticks are snapped and are protruding at the top). Bending the slide-sticks causes failure-to-stay-buttoned risk.My original 5.11 H20 Carrier is worthy of five stars. This change in design is for the worse. Perhaps this is a knock-off? Either way, I am returning these and making another choice (Camelbak).

I plan on reviewing this on my own website but I might as well put a review on here. I've tried three different options: Condor's water bottle holder, a Maxpedition mini Rolypoly, and this. This one blows them all away and fits my 32oz Wide Mouth Nalgene with no problem whatsoever. It has velcro behind the buckle to provide extra reinforcement when closed, and molle all around it to strap something extra (like a molle-compatible flashlight holster). One HUGE plus to this H2O carrier is the fact that its main competition (looking at you Maxpedition) requires that you purchase the tac-ties in order to install it separately, costing you extra $$. This pack includes the Molle ties already strapped in with button snaps at the end, and the straps are semi-rigid, making it easier to loop in and out of MOLLE with very little effort. This water carrier has been moved onto three different packs and will continue to do so until it breaks, in which case I will buy another. I really like the build on this and am glad I purchased it. Good job 5.11!!!

Overall, it's great and exactly what I was looking for to fit my wide mouth Nalgene perfectly! Take the rest of this with a grain of salt, just a suggestion compared to a negative aspect.The one thing that didn't get this product 5 stars is that the sticks on the carrier that integrate with the MOLLE, on my 5.11 Rush MOAB 10 pack, are not long enough to weave them through the MOLLE evenly. It fits perfectly through four straps, but if I wanted to weave them under/over/under/over, or the reverse, it would leave the top or the bottom without support and the carrier isn't be as secure to my pack.I have taken to weaving it under/over/under/under to make sure that it is as secure as possible, but it would have been nice if the sticks were just a bit longer to go under/over/under/over/under. It IS still secure the way that I currently have it, even with a bunch of running around, but I feel like it could be even better.

I didn't think there was any way to improve my RUSH 12 backpack, I was wrong...this MOLLE attach H2O bottle/external pouch is the perfect addition to the RUSH 12 (or the larger models as well). Very durable, lightweight and attached easily to 4 MOLLE loops making it like part of the bag. It will hold a standard MIL Spec canteen, large water bottle, rain jacket or stuff down vest or any item (including weapons) requiring quick access. It has a velcro and nylon belt for security. Excellent product! RR

I was concerned, based on the published sizes, that my favorite 600ml Gatorade bottles wouldn't fit. Both they and my 1L Narrow-mouth Nalgene bottle fit perfectly. Of course it fits perfectly on the side of my 5.11 Rush 12 pack too. See photos above.

This product fits my Nalgene bottle perfectly. I had more of an issue removing the product from the 5.11 packaging board (because I was impatient) than I did actually installing it onto my backpack. It attached to the side of my Rush 12 in seconds. I'm going to send up some product pictures. Even the image on the manufacturer's website leaves a little to be desired, but rest assured this is a quality product. Now I just need to grab some mag pouches and hit the farm... :)

The straps on the rear of this that are supposed to be used to attach it to a Molle bag etc simply do not work. The press studs that are supposed to clip together do not.As these straps are "built in" you have to cut them off and replace them with attachments straps that do work (fortunately I had a couple of spares).Pretty poor for 5.11 products - of which I have a lot - which are normally very good.

Super strong and easily fitted using the SlickStick system. Feel slightly thinner material than my other, older, sand coloured pouch, but thats not a bad thing. Shall probably outlive me! Large enough to fit a 500ml flask and a Sigg insulated sleeve and a couple of choccie bars or a TravelTap water filter. Has a drain hole in bottom. I don't bother with the clip unless the terrain is particularly rough. I have one pouch attached to the belt straps on my pack for quick access and means there's no need to remove pack for the essentials. Typical superb 5.11 quality, always perfect, never a loose thread.

Definitely not 1000D nylon. I have other 5.11 pouches in FDE and this is nothing like them. It is thin (more like 400D nylon), insubstantial and looks like it will rip at the drop of a hat. It's also made in China unlike my other 5.11 pouches. If it didn't have the 5.11 badge on it I'd think it was fake. Very very disappointed. Especially as I am going to the Gulf in two days and don't have time to change it. Avoid.

Delievery was spot on as per usual.I brought this for my Rush 24 and I was a little concerned when opened the package to see the size of the carrier. But it is a lot bigger than first impression.Thickness of the pouch isn't the same as my actual pack but it is described in the product information.I'm now pretty addicted to 5.11 products!

Well put together as with all 5.11 gear.MOLLE straps used to attach to the back of my 72 hour pack & works a treat.Quick & easy access to my water bottle & good securing clips/velcro
