The media could not be loaded.  This is very thick and cotton material which is good for ironing because it will not get melt with a hot iron. The cushion below is also pretty much thick as thick as it should be. The fitting is excellent not very tight or loose exactly as per mentioned. My picture shows the previous cover which is nylon type material and was not able to with stand little more amount of heat for a few seconds of iron touching the same spot so it got melted at couple of places. Also this cover does not have the sponge but it is a thick cloth material which is better than a sponge. The colour is excellent there is no stupid design its just plain colour which is very functional. All though bit costly but it will last longer and serve the purpose.

Padding is thick. Cloth although plain is also thick and of good quality. It fits better than the original one. We did use the original flimsy padding as well to make it more thick.

This is a very high quality, thick ironing board cover. The metallic fabric surface is great for steam ironing; it doesn't stain from water and steam. I had been looking for a really good cover to fit my 18"x49" Brabantia ironing board but the sides/edges of the width of the Brabantia are so large that 18x49 covers don't fit the width, meaning they aren't wide enough to tuck under the edge at the sides. This one ONLY JUST fits the width. The additional length is not a problem as the ties pull it in snugly. Very pleased with this well-made cover.
