Great for older people
This phone was easy to set up. Great for those who don't have such nimble fingers as the keys are widely spaced. Has all the features you need from a modern phone with Facebook, Google and Youtube available at the touch of a button.

Only good point is it’s increased size
If it had worked it would have been perfect. I’m an Doro fan having used various models. This one was faulty or had been previously used and had deletions to the menu. I wanted it to replace my 6520 to enable call blocking. Couldn’t find it, as described in information so YouTubed it only to find my menu was well short of the features shown, and other internet sites also confirms this. The phone suggested an update, which I did but that didn’t help, causing the settings to malfunction. The doro store app had very little selection. In all very disappointed so it’s been returned. On the plus side the housing is larger so the buttons are easier to use.

Whats app does work on this phone!
I read the previous reviews but bought this for a parent who wanted touch screen free whats app but with slight trepidation given that others had not got Whatsapp to work. Setting it up needed an update of the kaios operating system, but once that was done (you have to go to the + icon in the centre and scroll down to "an application" . Once rebooted with updated OS Whats app appeared on the STORE loaded easily and works allowing messaging and photos, i have not tried video chat yet. It would be much more user friendly though if this was pre installed as was face book google and twitter.

Great phone as usual
Always use these Doro phones and the 7060 is great except for one thing I don’t like having to have it on for the alarm to work, as an elderly user who doesn’t keep it on all the time it’s easy to forget to turn it on for the alarm and have missed an appointment because of it. Also don’t buy the cover it’s total rubbish

Good phone apart from the faults I have lisr
Having previously owned several Doro phones over the years I found this one very easy to set up.Email function is a doddle as is Facebook and Twitter, I like the wi Fi Function as their is free wi Fi in every pub I go to.It connects to my car perfectly. All in all this just like a smartphone but without the touch screens which I hated also as it's a clam shell it is a damn site smaller. No silly games are on it, so in reality it is a powerful little phone that you can Facebook and Twitter and email, what more do you want?Update, the battery went from a full charge down to 70% after 3 hours on standby...When the wifi was turned on it continued to search for a connection even though I was connected to home broadband and last night when connected to the wifi in my local it kept on searching, I had to turn off the phone as it was annoying me and everyone in the bar.Other than that it was a good phone, connected to the car no problem. It, you can also block certain numbers which is very good.I have returned it because of the faults I have listed.

Do Not Buy This Product
Dear DoroI purchased a Doro 7060 telephone from you throughGreatsmackeroo Amazon on 2nd May. My receipt is attached.Out of the box the telephone was unable to perform one of its core functions, syncing with Google contacts, clearly due to a software bug. I telephoned support on three occasions over the next two weeks, being promised a response each time, but received none, not even to confirm the issue or offer a refund.Over the next two weeks the keypad on the phone progressively deteriorated to the point that it became unusable. All the keys, including the menu, of the Doro 7060 4G Phone either fail to respond to a press, or over-respond producing multiple key strokes. This makes it impossible to text and very time consuming to call someone.Additionally, from purchase the phone repeatedly overheats and shuts down. Two weeks ago, 6 weeks after purchase and 5 weeks after initially contacting customer services I once again phoned support. On this occasion the lady, Johanna, was helpful, at least initially.I explained that I have a Doro 7060 4G Phone which is unusable and that I had spoken to customer support om many occasions and had no response. She acknowledged my previous calls and that they were within 30 days of purchase. She confirmed that the phone could not sync with Google contacts and that this was due to a software bug. She said that my request for a replacement or refund was difficult and could not be authorised except by the UK office. She would try and arrange one or the other though. This was two weeks ago. I have been chasing for a response since to no avail. I can't use my non-functioning Doro 7060 4G Phone.I have now purchased another handset from Caterpillar, who do make good phones. The Doro 7060 4G Phone is a nasty, overpriced, poorly constructed rip-off.I am a reasonably capable and technically adept forty-something. You market this phone as a device for seniors. It even has an emergency call function which you encourage users to rely on to contact help in the event of an accident. Given this intended market, the Doro 7060 is not only a bad product, but a dangerous one. My wife works with the NHS and I live close to my elderly patients, and I purchased my appalling Door 7060 4G Phone with the intention of recommending it if it had at least functioned. I do not recommend the Doro 7060 4G Phone because it is unreliable due to bad software design and very bad build quality, and there is no customer support.I still have my substandard Doro 7060 4G Phone and no response from Doro.Your customer support is beyond bad, it is illegal here in the UK. I have purchased an substandard Doro 7060 4G Phone from you via Amazon, and you will not permit Amazon to refund me or replace the product. Despite a total of approximately 4 hours of contacting you repeatedly you will not fulfil your statutory obligations of a full and prompt refund or replacement.Given your market and that vulnerable people rely on this product for their well-being and safety you need to address your advertising claims and your support, and if my experience is at all common, withdraw the Doro 7060 4G Phone from the market. In the meantime I require full refund within 7 days otherwise I will pursue the matter legally.Yours,Roger Bowles.

BETTER THAN NOKIA FLIP
DORO (Sweden) have long produced flip-phones. Their latest incarnation is a creditable advance (7060)..Earlier DORO flips were 2G. Now we have 3/4G for voice, and 4G for data.Good feature-phone. And the physical features are good too.Like the correct shaping of the case for one-handed flip opening.Like friction surface on the back for secure handling, and placing-down.Like a large screen with comparably large lettering. And the reversed-out lettering is clear.Like a large, clear, keypad with discrete keys.Like a stand-in charging dock for table use..None of the above physical merits have been achieved by the latest flip (2720)from fellow Nordic phone-makers, NOKIA, of Finland. Actually NOKIA is now just aname which is licensed to makers HMD of Finland..Surprising that NOKIA have not built on their heritage, as have DORO with their latest 7060..
