Q: Will this one recork?

I don't think it recorks. I just turn my cork over and push it inward. I love my Wine opener and have given several for gifts. Everyone agrees it is fabulous.

Q: Does it come with the blade piece to slice off the wine seal

It comes with a handy tool to cut off the wine seals. Works great.

Q: Does it work on synthetic corks

It works, but it takes too much strength for me to pull the cork out. The wine I drink uses a synthetic cork, And I am sorry I bought this opener.

Q: I purchased this on 8/25/2016 from amazon. it broke. to whom do i make a warranty claim: amazon or brookstone?

I don't know what broke on yours, but sometimes the little cap on top of the opener comes loose and needs to be tightened by twisting it. The cap on mine came loose and it wouldn't pull out the cork. I tightened the cap and it works fine. Good luck!
