Magnetic Net Release, Aluminum Fishing Net Magnet Retractor

I wouldn't use this for your everyday keys as it magnetically sticks to them and may cause some frustration. HOWEVER! Use for something other than keys like on a fishing vest or what have you, definitely recommend. I personally use this product every day at my job. I have to wear a safety hat when entering a machine on my production line and I have it attached to the hat. Also it hangs from my belt loop with a carabiner. Super strong magnet. This has never fallen off unless I was kneeling down and accidentally stepped on the hat then stood up. It takes a lot of force to pull the magnets apart. It's going to continue to serve that purpose until it needs replaced, if it even does. In which case, I will buy this product again.

I have one of these for many years, magnet is still strong! Paint is wearing out I ended up buying 2 more definitely keeping this in my favorites. It works great and functions they way it’s supposed to for the price it’s worth it

This is just plain handy. Strong magnet. I clip one end to my backpack and the other to a small pepper spray can for quick access. I'm not a spring chicken so am a target to some and this reassures.

These are very strong magnets. I hooked on magnet to the top back of my fishing vest. The other mating magnet was attached to the bow of the net opposite the handle. This way the net is out of the way and the handle is an easy reach.

UPDATED Review for dog leash: I've been using this not as a keychain for the reasons stated below, but rather as a way to attach a small flashlight (shout-out to RovyVon lights) to my dogs leash. Nothing on the leash is magnetic so the light/keychain just dangles. Magnet is strong enough I know it's not coming loose on it's own and when I need to use it it pops right off from the leash. Light/keychain combo is small enough to keep it attached all the time, and when I need to charge the light, it pops off easily enough. Been using it this way for several months if not a year or more. Old Review for keys: If you use this as a quick disconnect for your keys, it's going to stick to everything metallic in your pocket (duh), unless you've got all aluminum keys/keyrings. For me that meant my keys were folded over in weird ways onto themselves and poked me, instead of how they naturally lay in the pocket. And then you have to separate the keys (unfold/untangle) from the magnet to use. As for the product itself, it looks great and the magnet is pretty strong, as I'm sure others have pointed out. Quality seems to be pretty high, but I stopped using it after a month, so I can't really comment on longevity. Perhaps a weaker magnet would be more ideal, but you have to weigh that against how strong of a connection you want when you go to separate your keys (if you use it that way).

This little magnetic net release is a game-changer! 5 stars for functionality for sure. It's ridiculously strong - my keys are secure and require a solid yank to detach. Plus, being able to just snag them off the side of my car is amazing. So convenient, especially when my hands are full. Only downside? The branding is a bit much. It's a bit tacky and cheap; I wish it was just all black instead of saying "crazy shark." Would still buy again though and I would recommend it.

I’m glad I took a chance one this product after reading some of the other reviews. It is well made and the magnet is more that strong enough to carry my keys which is my intended purpose for this item. I have to jump in and out of emergency vehicles quickly so having a quick way to put the keys somewhere secure and get ahold of them in hurry Is great help. 4years plus update. Used at work every day as described above. I have not been gentle with this product but it is still going strong. Would highly recommend for the above purpose.

Quality it top notch for the magnet only the caribenar is low quality which can be improved

Using with Spyderco edc. Very strong/secure magnetic connection. Instant hands free connect/disconnect. Pass belt through paracord loop at one end of connection. Other end attached with paracord to pocket clipped knife. A strong/quick tug is required to separate magnets. Bond is strong so accidental separation very unlikely. Magnets allign and reconnect instantly while knife is being clipped back into pocket. Love it!
