Finesse Clean and Simple Hypoallergenic Shampoo for Normal Hair 10 fl oz (295 ml)

The product was delivered in a timely fashion but I expected the shampoo to be free of an extra additives. I was a little disappointed that it has a scent to it and I was expecting an unscented product. The bottle was well padded in the shipping box and luckily it was also shrink wrapped in plastic.. I say luckily because some of the shampoo must have leaked out during shipping as the bottle was coated in it (I guess I can't blame the seller for that though). Also the shampoo was re-branded with a stick on UPC label covering the manufacturer's UPC code that was printed on the bottle.. I'm not sure if that should be a concern or not.As for its effectiveness as a shampoo, it seems to work as well as some other products that I have used that were supposed to contain fewer additives like sulfates, etc. It doesn't foam up very much and you must apply it tow or more times to get you hair clean.. but maybe that is typical of these types of shampoos.I have used it several times and I can't tell if it is helping my sensitive scalp problems yet. I will give it more time and see where my experience with it goes.

Someone's review complained that this did not lather as much as regular shampoos. The reason why this shampoo doesn't lather as much as other shampoos is because this product is missing the ingredient that strips dyed hair of its color and is the same one that "lathers up." That ingredient is Sodium Lauryl Sulfate / Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS). SLS is the main ingredient in household detergents like floor cleaner. Don't believe me? just ask your friendly neighborhood janitor. SLS is in 99% of shampoo because it is the cheapest ingredient to use for all types of cleaning-hair, body wash, floors and kitchens.I have used this shampoo for my color-treated hair and it really does preserve my color. It has a subtle Apricot fragrance. And gets my hair clean and soft. I spend too much money getting my hair colored at high end salons to buy color-stripping cheap shampoos. This is a bargain and so glad I took a chance and ordered it.

I know many reviews criticized this product for not being sensitive enough. I like this product. I always loved Finesse and I became too sensitive to use traditional shampoo over the years. I am sensitive but I was able to use regular shampoo for some time. I loved the way my hair looked when using Finesse and all of the other sensitive shampoos were sensitive but not giving me the results I was looking for. Luckily for me- this shampoo is good enough! No more rash down my back with the same results as my old shampoo. Thank you, Finesse!

It leaks because of the bottle cap and not the fault of the sender. The top was doubly encased in plastic and it still leaked. About 1/3 of the shampoo was gone......I've been looking for a shampoo that won't make me break out and this seems ok, however I don't care for the "fragrance". I'm adverse to shampoo that smells like fruit rather than flowers. It reminds me of a disposal. How about a flower scent for a change ? I don't like to smell like food.........I will continue to buy it because it doesn't have the caustic ingredients that macerate my scalp.

I feel it is too expensive for the amount n the bottle. Plus one of the four was less than half full AND leaking.

My hair does not have much body with this shampoo but it did solve the problem with my itch and I will order again.

doesn't foam up like other shampoos ..probably just takes sometime to get used to.

It is hypoallergenic but it doesn't lather.
